My boyfriend and I came here for dinner the other night and I’m so happy we did!! I love southern food, grew up on it, and the meal we had here was delicious!! We started with the pork belly appetizer but the pickled watermelon rind in it stole the show. I ordered the shrimp and grits entree which was so good!! The grits were perfectly done with melted cheddar cheese and the shrimp was perfect! They also have a nice wine selection and the prices were the same as any other elevated restaurant on the walking mall. 10/10⭐️

We came here with friends on a Friday evening for dinner and had a wonderful time.

We sat outside on the patio. The host for the evening was also our server. He seated us with menus then came back to take our drink orders. We each had a cocktail and they were very good. We shared a couple of orders of biscuits and ordered our meals.

I had the salmon and it was very good. Others at our table had the fried chicken and pick chop. Everyone agreed that the food was delicious. The fried chicken is a generous portion – at least three pieces. The breading was very good. The collard greens weren’t too salty and had a nice slight tartness to them.

Our host/ server, David, was personable, attentive and had a great sense of humor. He really contributed to our positive experience.

The food was excellent and David was great. Prices were comparable to most other places we have been. The menu had a variety of items that all sounded good. The location is right there in old town and we walked from the hotel so that was nice.

We had a very nice dinner here and would for sure come back.

Some of the best food I’ve had in Old Town Winchester. We had the pork belly, the catfish special, and the banana pudding for dessert. Everything was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Great place, 10/10 recommend. Service was great. We went on a Friday night without reservations and sat down right away. We had fried green tomatoes for appetizer – very flavorful. Probably the best ones I’ve had. Cocktails were great, creative, and good options. Dinner was really superb. GREAT portions, you wont leave hungry. We had the pork chops which was PERFECTLY cooked, and the salmon which was also perfectly cooked. All said for 2 cocktails each (4 total), an appetizer and dinner for each, it was 155. Very reasonable price for the amount of food and drink and the portions were great. We both left full and satisfied. Will definitely be on the rotation now for date night!

Service is delivered both efficiently and with a smile. Food selection is diverse without being overwhelming and across both lunch and dinner we did not eat one thing we didn’t thoroughly enjoy. Their cocktail menu is also fantastic, with a wonderful variety of seasonal beverages (Fall Spice Old Fashioned pictured) and staples. There is not a better plate and drink for lunch or dinner in Winchester, and quite possibly Virginia.

Looking for the best restaurant in Winchester? It’s definitely this one. I’ve never had southern food this good. Our family had the short ribs, fried chicken, deviled eggs, cucumber soup and fried green tomatoes. Everything was delicious! Our waiter was super friendly too. Highly recommend you go!! Very easy to find as well. It’s right on the pedestrian mall street.

I have wanted to try this restaurant since it opened. We finally had the opportunity to go kid free for lunch & all my expectations were exceeded. Service : phenomenal. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable, excited about their food, & attentive. Sadly we did not get her name, but she was amazing. Atmosphere : cool & comfortable. Literally “cool” bc it was a little cold in the restaurant, but the building is old (as am I) so it’s not anything to complain about. Just wear warm clothing if you’re going on a weekday at lunch time. Food & drinks : stellar!! We shared an app order of the fried green tomatoes. It comes with maque choux & a single pickled shrimp. The tomatoes & corn were out of this world. The shrimp wasn’t the star of the dish, but tasty. I asked our server if it was possible to order a serving of the maque choux separately. Unfortunately not, but if I could, I would have! I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with their house made chips. The chips were great – in my opinion they could have used a pinch more salt, but delicious all the same. The chicken salad was delicious! Not overly mayonnaise heavy, peppery, & it was really good on the chips! It was served on grilled white bread with lettuce & tomato. It tasted light & fresh & just yummy. I ate my whole sandwich! My husband got their chicken sandwich with collard greens. He also ate the entire dish & raved about the sauce on the chicken sandwich. He said he couldn’t put his finger on what it tasted like, but it was delicious. My husband ordered a beer, & I got a mule. I’m so sorry but right now the name of it escapes me. I think it was a Virginia mule maybe? I don’t drink liquor much, so the ingredients are also escaping me, but it was very tasty & I thoroughly enjoyed it! Our server told us that the dinner menu is even better than the lunch menu. We also discovered that they have a kids menu! So we will definitely be back with our kids for dinner soon. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Excellent spot for a casual diner date with a focus on southern cuisine. Their mix drinks are excellent and are one of the highlights. I would come here with a willingness to try new dishes and flavors. After my second visit, their dishes will either be a hit or a miss depending on your palate and prefered flavors.

Wonderful meal here! The pork belly was amazing! Definitely the best thing we had. Deviled eggs not worth it. Only 1 and a half eggs for $16. Shrimp and grits delightful. Fried chicken was OK. Very hard, crunchy batter. Not traditional. The sides were good. The red velvet cake was delicious. My fiance almost fell back on his chair a few times and the waitress even said many customers have almost fallen off. Very unsturdy legs and back. Would consider looking into that so that a customer doesn’t hurt themselves. Overall delicious meal and our Server was delightful
