A big plus is that you can see a variety of cooked seafood on display and choose what you want.
On the downside, the pork skewers and squid were served cold, and the hot porridge came in a disposable plastic container. While I understand the cost-saving reason for using plastic, it would be nice if at least the main dishes were served warm.
That said, there’s a great selection of delicious seafood, and the male staff member was very friendly. Because of that, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 3.
The one star is for the politeness of the servers and the dinuguan/tinumis wasn’t that bad in flavor. However, it had one piece of actual pork meat. The rest of the solid chunks in the dark liquid were tripe. Again, decent taste but they really tried to save money by skimping on the meat.
The biggest problem was that we spent $12(!!!) on a piece of fish that turned out to be bad surrounded by tons of rice(see the pic). How about less rice and another side?
How about an edible piece of fish?
Since we took it to go, we didn’t notice any of this until we got home, 15 miles away. The experience was forgettable…although impossible to forget.
It’s better to make a dollar profit from a thousand orders each than $10 from 10. It’s better to make sure you’re giving the public a good product. Your business will be around longer.
You ever wonder why there are so few Filipino restaurants as compared to other Asian restaurants? This experience could be a big reason why. Hmmm.
One server doesn’t know the price of the lechon Kawali. He would mumble while wearing a mask. You have to ask him to speak louder and repeat what he was saying a few times. Then when he weighs the food it was $17.99. $4 higher that what he said earlier. He doesn’t even know how to cut the lechon. Then another guy behind me got upset because he was doing the mumbling again. Told him to speak louder. That was a disappointing visit on Nov. 16, 2023 at around 1:15PM.
