Normally would give a 4 star but had a bit of a confusing lunch.
Everyone at other tables (and us) was getting confused about lunch menu. Heard a couple of customers mention that there used to he a separate printed lunch menu.
Rather than explain to customers the waitress had to he asked by each table to explain what was included and excluded from lunch deal
Even then people seemed to struggle, and we heard a couple order something and then 5 mins later they were told it would cost extra?
The menu is laminated so it would be so easy yo stick a little red dot sticker next to all the lunch deal items. If the lunch menu changes then you just remove the dots…simple.
Literally 4 tables went through the same confusion and it spoils the experience.
Funny thing is, there is a lunch menu in window..why not copy it and give to people!
The food was great. No complaints. Nice environment and decor.
The waitress was lovely but she is very shy. Really needs someone my dynamic and confident doing front of house as that’s a big part if any dining experience. I am sure with time she will get more confidence. I think she just needs to engage better and chat to people. Especially regulars, of whom there seemed to be quite a few judging by the conversations we overheard.
We will be back and will tell our friends about the great food, but this restaurant could so easily be a 5 star review with some simple and cheap changes

Been here twice already and the food is absolutely delicious. Their spring rolls are fresh and tasty, best in town. I had the chicken Pad Thai which was super tasty My husband had the beef drunken noodles which were delish with a bit of spice and plenty of fresh vegetables. We dined in and our waitress was lovely and helpful 5/5. Definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was very quiet as it was a Tuesday. The service was 5/5, food was all delicious 5/5 and quite reasonably priced too. We will definitely be back, again and again. Great to have another fab Thai Restaurant in town. ✨

First visit to Thai D, and really impressed.
Staff/owners were really friendly and helpful, paying particular attention to a friends nut allergy and adapting the food accordingly. The chef was happy to make requested changes to the dishes to our request, and all all the food tasted amazing.
Will definitely return, and also good to know the restaurant offer deliveries (either direct from the website or via JustEat/Deliveroo).

Fabulous Thai meal last night
Very tasty food, clearly made with very fresh ingredients. We had a share platter to start, a main meal each and a side with the mains and a bottle of wine for under £100. All served quickly
Probably the best Thai food I have had in the UK, and as good as food in Thailand
Will definitely return to dine in and to take away as well

Edit: To rectify the problem the owner arranged a voucher for us to come back and we are so glad we did. Food was amazing. Best satay I have had. Pad Thai also amazing. We will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant and their personal customer service.

Stopped in around 2pm for a late lunch. Friendly greeting, seated and provided with paper menu (rare in this world of QR codes). Ordered the Thai Fish Cakes (£7.45) as a starter and the Thai D Curry Bowl (beef, £9.50). The fish cakes were nice, good flavor and texture. The curry cowl was quite heavy on the (cheap) carbs (rice & potato) while providing a very, very small portion of beef amounting to a few thin slices.. while it tasted good, the small beef portion was a letdown. Perhaps other dished provide more value?
