I ordered 1 lb of crab legs and was shocked by the quality. Most legs were dark/blackened and appeared severely overcooked. The texture was dry and rubbery, consistency of grits on the inside and the flavor was off.
At $40, this is not a minor issue. Seafood pricing demands seafood quality. Unfortunately, this did not meet basic expectations. I couldn’t eat it. I did pickup order so I think this was a way to get rid of it and still charge for what should have been thrown out. I was left still hungry, which is unacceptable at that price point.
I hope management reviews their food handling and preparation standards.

The sauce was watery and not Hot & Spicy like I ordered. The sauce didn’t even stick on to the food. There was No garlic pieces inside the sauce, Taste was plain no seasoning! One of the worst shrimp boils I ever had. I called apparently you have to ask for extra seasoning. I will never go back here. I will not be eating this! Don’t waste your money!!

Complete lack of professional management at Red Crab tonight. There were over 30 drivers packed into the lobby waiting for pickups, with some delays exceeding 2 hours. It is irresponsible for a restaurant to continue accepting orders they clearly do not have the capacity to fulfill. To make matters worse, the counter staff was incredibly rude and dismissive when asked for status updates. If you can’t manage the volume, you should pause the tablets. Avoid this location if you value your time.

We got the mixed bag with snow crab, shrimp, and mussels in the “Juicy Special” sauce (medium heat). The sauce is great—a strong, garlicky, buttery Cajun flavor. The seafood was fresh and well-cooked, though a couple of mussels were on the smaller side. The corn and potatoes soaked up the sauce perfectly.
We were served by a new hire named CC, and she was fantastic—very professional, efficient, and great at taking our orders. The service was overall efficient and friendly. They keep the paper towels and wet naps coming, which you’ll need. The atmosphere is casual and loud, perfect for a laid-back meal.
It’s not a cheap eat, but you get good portions for the price. If you’re in the mood for a hearty, no-frills seafood feast in Joliet, Red Crab is a reliable choice. I’ll be back.

Place overall seemed clean, just a little dated. Our server was decent, nothing to rave about. The food was so good!! This was our first time here and it was cool how it came out and it tasted great. Our group all did the steamed bag with different add ins. I had garlic butter and no spice and it was great. Only wish I had a biscuit to soak up the rest.

I absolutely love the food. I’ve been to manu crab boil places but this in my opinion is the best. Food that is. The waitresses are very friendly but the food makes up for that. I highly recommend trying this place! Oh and if u don’t like spicy and get mild cause mild isn’t so mild either!

Most disorganized restaurant with unprofessional staff I’ve ever been to. Worst Valentine’s Day experience. Why not pause online and delivery orders if you’re running 2 hours behind schedule and can’t even fit all the people waiting for their orders in the door? Guy next to me was waiting 1.5 hours for his pickup order and who knows how long after I left. Staff was literally screaming at customers when they asked for etas. Telling them to be patient. I understand you’re busy but again, things could have been handled differently by the restaurant to make things go smoother like pausing orders if you can’t handle the sheer volume.
