I’ll definitely be back after an exceptional lunch at Halalpenos. Honestly didn’t know what to expect with this mashup of food types but it delivered on amazing flavors. Every one in my group loved it and wants to come back. Only thing was it was a little slow on service because not a lot of service… but it’s a new business and i would rather have the focus on food than something fast.

We decided to try this place at the recommendation of a friend. Tried four different dishes and the tres leches dessert. It was all excellent! Service was fast and super friendly. Some spice but just right for a unique flavor. Highly recommend this place.

Really good chicken tikka tacos. Had the daal too, very nice. Hubby had the mixed protein bowl and really enjoyed it. I had one of his falafel. Tasty. Had to take some food home.

The food tastes fantastic. I did not give it 5 stars because I feel that there should be more protein for the price.
The service was impeccable. There was a sweet grandpa that served us.
Atmosphere… we were originally planning to eat in (on a date), but the table situation was not as cozy as we would have liked. So, we ended taking it home.
We will definitely be back. The food and friendly service is definitely worthwhile. Try it out!!!

Everything we got was really tasty! We tried the protein bowl, tacos and samosas and I would recommend them all. The sauces were excellent and the samosas were piping hot. I did think the protein bowl would be a healthier option, but everything was pretty heavy/hearty. It’s nice to have a halal restaurant in Salt Lake, and this is a fun fusion. The owners/employees were very attentive and friendly, too.

I had the Paratha Roll with Birria Nihari Beef. It was Awesome. The Paratha roll was kind of like a tortilla mixed with a pastry, but more pastry like. The flavors were just great. Not a lot of food but it was very filling and satisfying. The fry’s were cooked wonderfully, very similar to fry’s in Europe. If you want something a little different and amazing go here!
