OMG. I worked 24 hrs and my last meal was 20 hrs earlier. So I was ready for a good grind. The restaurant ROCKS. They had a Sunday Buffet. Before I get started on the food, let me just shout to the staff, Janet, pictured here is part of the family that owns this lovely place. She and the whole staff were 100% on it, dialed in. And they were hella busy! The FOOD: All freshly cooked, soups homemade, fruits fresh and solid, wonderful tortillas.
So there is chili colorado, chili verde, potatoes, chicken with peppers/onions and rice and beans. The pork both red/green were so flavorful and tender. Cheese enchilads precut to perfect size, melty soft jack and good sauce.
Taco bar with steak, chicken and pastor. All meats really good, all the fixins for tacos. Salad bar, fruit bar. Soup: pozole and menudo. Now, menudo has always been a turnoff to me, stomach and all. I poured a nice size bowl and discovered mexican heaven. The tripe literally melted in my mouth and the broth was so good I went back just for that. All in all, Im extremely satisfied and content. This restaurant was packed full! And I not only highly recommend them but am now going regularly!
Thank you La Casita Olvera for a great experience!

I ordered menudo to go and was extremely disappointed. For $18, I expected quality, but this was far from it. The dish was overloaded with hominy more than actual meat and as a Mexican, I know real menudo doesn’t even include hominy. The meat looked and tasted old, completely lacking flavor. The tortillas were cold, and the limes were clearly cut days ago dry and useless. Honestly, canned menudo would’ve been better. One of the worst menudos I’ve ever had. Definitely not good.

It’s a small restaurant in a store front complex. We went on a Friday night (Large group). Service was extremely slow. The guacamole was bland. I had the chicken flautas with rice and beans which was okay. The Chile Verde was not that flavorful but the meat was tender. Although the service was extremely slow the staff were friendly. Would I go again, probably not. This is just my opinion, but try it out if you like, you just might like it.

Came in on a Sunday at noon. Place was filled with patrons n people waiting outside. A sure sign that this place was good. We were seated and invited to serve ourselves. Great array of foods including omelets, pancakes, ceviche, green Chile, Chile Verde, rice, beans chicken fajitas. Salads and fruits and pan dulce.. wow. Micheladas n margaritas are served. Don’t forget the flan and rice pudding. Yummmy oh and the champagne mimosas while you ate just kept coming. You can’t get any better than that for 33$.

Went here for lunch. I ordered the 1 taco enchilada plate. I enjoyed everything. The cheese enchilada was filling. The taco was a good size and was crunchy. The plate came with rice and beans. All meals are served with chips and salsa. The service was fast and there was a lot of seating for a smaller restaurant.

One place I will be revisiting again! By far some of the best Authentic Mexican food in the area. The taquitos were amazing, the combination place with hard shell taco, chile relleno, and cheese enchilada was outstanding. I was greeted by the owners son with great respect and not to mention the owner making the guacamole fresh at your table. What a amazing experience. I will also mention they have a vast array of drinks to choose from. Arturo thank you for the great hospitality you provided at your restaurant. See you again soon.
