A cute atmosphere, friendly staff, kid games on a few tables, family friendly. I can easily see how this would be a hit for people with young children. Overall, the food was average but very reasonablly priced. Bonus: they use PaPa Sarge’s Homemade Pierogies.

We stopped into Morty’s for lunch on Saturday. We were met by a friendly gentleman at the counter. We ordered steak sandwiches and onion rings. The food was very good. The gentleman running the front counter was accommodating. The atmosphere is just what you expect from a steak sandwich joint. The place was clean, warm and inviting. Would definitely go again.

The meat, rolls, & toppings were fresh & not tasting bad! Quick service!

While the meat was generous amt. U can’t put 2lbs of meat on a thick roll with not enough cheese. It ends up being very dry if you order a steak with out sauce.
I have no idea what their sauce is like as I didn’t order that kind.

I got a philly style with Wiz and grilled onions & hot peppers.
I could not find the Wiz on it and it was thick and dry. There was an abundance of hot peppers yet barely any grilled onions. They may have cooked the Wiz in the meat but again no cheese taste etc. And the cut sandwich was uneven with cheese and onions like one side had nothing on it. Certainly not anything close to philly.

We also got the california steak with cooper sharp cheese. We were really disappointed because it was again thick and dry – 1 little piece of cheese u could barely taste and sharp cheese usually stands out. The toppings on top were plentiful.

The fries were like a steak type cut with some sort of seasoning and skin. If u like that it would be good if not like me I don’t like seasonings and skin. One order is a big portion for 2.

If your gonna pile on a lot of steak you enough cheese to match that or more. It didn’t taste like a “cheese” steak. And if you get grilled onions u need to taste them too. No idea who was cooking but they were way off. Food prices are heavy these days there are way better places out there for cheese steak without sauce.
Nothing was gross it just was not what I was looking for and felt like I just ordered a dry meat roll.
Please dont say philly style lol or at this point even “cheese” steak.

Great spot!, right by the Emmaus triangle, parking available, across from Yergeys brewery. Best Philly cheesteak I had in the area, no more driving to Easton or Philly for the family. They even accommodated for my wife who does not eat bread (gluten) and her meal was amazing!

Stopped in for a cheesesteak: unfortunately the meat was not well-seasoned and the unseeded bread was just okay. Despite an elaborate wall decoration showing a pretty storied heritage, this cheesesteak falls short.

Tried their cheesesteaks for the first time. First of all, pierogies were an 11/10. Definitely good homemade ones. I got a chicken cheesesteak with cooper cheese and grilled onions. It was pretty good, a little dry as others said, but I think an extra slice of cheese would fix that. The rolls were also 11/10, super soft. We also got a Morty with regular steak and the steak itself was super flavorful. Would definitely come back.

EDIT: We’re still ordering from here regularly a year later. They continue to add to their menu and have had the chance to try other things. The chicago dog is perfect as are the mozzarella sticks (they’re the square ones like Arby’s if you’re a fan). Can’t wait to try their milkshakes.

The food was strange. I’ve lived in Philly and know my steaks and unfortunately I think the texture and taste was similar to cat food. It smelled of cat litter in the restaurant and got worse as you got closer to the kitchen bathroom area. Services was fine and everyone was friendly but I can’t get over the strange mystery steak sandwich and the cat smell.

Stopped in for a take out order. I think they recently opened so there are some kinks that need to be worked out as with any new business. The place is small but comfortable in a relaxed atmosphere with a friendly and helpful staff. There is street parking and parking on the side of their bldg which is convenient The menu is limited but with just enough to accompany a steak sandwich. I was hoping to see the steak sandwich being made in front of the customers instead of in the back and out of sight. It makes me think the meat is precooked and then warmed and assembled when ordered. I say this because there is no difference in the way one sandwich looks from another besides the toppings. With such a limited menu it would have been nice to see and smell it being cooked. There is nothing better than walking in to the temping aroma and sounds of steak being grilled. Ordered a mushroom cheese steak sandwich fries and perogies. The cheese steak was just ok but the meat was dry and not juicy and very bland which made me think it may have been precooked and heated when ordered. I asked for no sauce but when I got home I saw there was sauce which was bland as well. They do have great fries and perogies. This place has potential but needs improvements to be successful. Hopefully they can make changes so they can endure.

Usually love coming here! Always a loaded juicy cheesesteak. Ordered today from grub hub and the Cali cheesesteak had just lettuce and a little Mayo, the pepper cheesesteak has just cheese no sauce on it or onion that was added. Perogies are always great… dissappointed this time with how dry the steaks are too.
