Hubby and I have been waiting for The VIG to open. Went to lunch here today before my hair appointment at Salon27 next door. It wasn’t crowded when we went in around 11:30, but by the time we left at 12:30, it was pretty full. Our waitress, Azhia, was fabulous. She was friendly and attentive without hovering. The food was so good. Hubby said it was the best burger he’s ever had. The Caesar salad with chicken was great. I love the Parmesan crisps they sprinkled on top. The butterscotch bread pudding was scrumptious. We got the ice cream on the side (I don’t like it on top of the warm bread pudding). The music wasn’t loud, which was nice. Not cheap, but worth the price. We will be back.

We came in on a quiet Sunday, the atmosphere is nice and their patio is comfortable with heaters and misters. I don’t typically leave bad reviews, but my wagyu burger was ordered medium and came out very undercooked— the bacon was also soggy as was the bun, my fiancée had the shrimp linguine and he said it was spicy and he enjoyed it. I felt the food was over priced and the drinks were nothing special the coug cup was too sweet but the lavender haze was well balanced. Our server did not come check on us through the meal or I would have sent my burger back to the kitchen.

This is the second time visit.

The food here is just as awesome as always. Staff are super friendly.

If the weather is nice, it is recommended to sit at the outdoor tables.
Had a great time there with my family.

We cam here for an early birthday dinner. I was super excited they had gluten free options or upgrades. I had one of the best burgers I’ve had in a LONG time here with a gluten free bun. The pesto on my friends pasta was so fresh and flavorful unlike a lot of other places. Their cocktails were well made but they also had mocktail options for those of us not drinking. The flour free chocolate cake was delicious but the rest of the dessert’s were just OK. Overall, we will go back.

My favorite restaurant of all time is The Vig. In fact, tomorrow for my birthday we are eating at The Vig in Scottsdale. I had never eaten at this location in Dana Park before. The interior was dimly lit, romantic, and beautiful. The service was fine, not exceptional but polite and efficient. Unfortunately, the food was not good at all.

My grilled chicken chopped salad was inedible. The entire salad was overwhelmingly salty, not just the dressing. Even the lettuce tasted salty, as if the whole dish had been over-seasoned or tossed too heavily in salt. The chicken was dry and tough, with no flavor or moisture to balance the saltiness. My husband ordered the Asian salad, and he said it was unpleasant. The chicken tasted old, and the flavor was completely one note, dominated by ginger.

Our chips were overcooked, and even the salsa and guacamole tasted off. We did not finish them. The guacamole had a stringy texture and seemed past its prime. The fries, which we usually enjoy, were soft, soggy, and lacked seasoning.

I told the waitress that the food tasted very different from what we have had at the other Vig locations. She said she had never been to the others and that it depended on who was cooking that day. She removed my chopped salad from the bill after I tasted the first bite and could not eat another.
My husband finished his salad only because he is a military veteran who can eat just about anything. He said he just ate quickly and tried not to notice the taste. After we paid, he took me to another restaurant in the same plaza because we both left hungry and beyond disappointed.

The food here did not resemble what The Vig is known for. The flavors, textures, and overall quality were completely different from the Scottsdale and Phoenix locations, which are consistently excellent. I will not be returning to this location.

Although the food in the pictures look good, the flavors were definitely not good.

Was really excited to try this place out! The front door (located on the side) is nice and big. Upon entrance there seemed to be some confusion between the hostess and two workers sitting on the bench working on a tablet? We asked for a booth, didn’t mind the wait, kept being explained what a half booth is.

Once we finally sat down, our table was still dirty so the hostess let us know she would send someone to come clean the table. Well that person did come, a young lady with brown hair and didn’t seem to care about the mess, just dumped silverware and glasses on the table and left. The booths are really comfortable.

Bit of a wait for cocktails.

Stephanie was our waitress and was the only positive thing about this visit.

Honestly I don’t know if I want to come back, the music inside is just WAY too loud. I had to yell across the table to my husband or kid and even the waitress just to be heard.

Can you guys turn down the volume? I left with a headache.

The VIG Dana Park is a fantastic new addition to this side of town! The chicken enchiladas were phenomenal—full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was stylish yet welcoming, with a great vibe and friendly service. It was a bit busy when we went, likely because it’s newly opened, but the lively energy made it even better. I’m already looking forward to coming back soon!

ZERO stars! We came here for the first time after taking our daughters to see Santa. We sat on the patio which was nice BUT we waited and waited for someone to come and take our drink order. We were about to leave when a server finally showed up. We gave our drink order along with our food order because we sat there for so long we knew what we wanted. I had the Asian chicken salad and I loved the dressing. The salad was good but quite small for the price. My daughter had sliders and she liked them. My other daughter had chicken strips and they were gross. Also the kids meals are very expensive. It cost $81 for 4 people to eat and 2 of those people were children! My husband had the fish and chips and the fish was dried out and overcooked. The tarter sauce had zero flavor and the fries were greasy and soggy. It was absolutely ridiculous to pay that amount of money we did and receive horrible service. After getting our food, our server disappeared. We had to go to the bar to get our own drink refills. My husband tried to get another server to help us and she completely ignored us. My husband also asked a male server where the bathroom was and again he was ignored. He asked another gentleman and he just moved his head to the side–didn’t speak. Such rude attitudes at this place! This is isn’t Scottsdale. It’s Dana Park. No reason to act so snotty and uppity when you serve horrible food and charge outrageous prices. So disappointed and angry for the money we wasted.

Great place to take my dad for his bday, choices for everyone – from the 88 year old birthday boy to the 61 year old low-carb diet husband. The only awkward thing was trying to eat a turkey club sandwich (delicious). Hubby said I could totally handle it, that my mouth is big enough. I didn’t punch him. I just cut it apart. We sat outdoors on the patio which was perfectly comfortable due to the misters.

So excited to have the VIG in the east valley! The food was awesome, we started with the sweet chili wings, we shared the carne asada tacos and the poblano chicken enchiladas which are very filling on their own. The tacos are small but the filling is delicious and a good portion. We will be back for drinks!
