Incredibly disappointed with what this place has become this recent year. It used to be that Topp’d Tuesday was a regular, nearly weekly outing for us. Delicious pizza, reasonable pricing, good service.
However at some point Topp’d’s pricing model has changed from a flat rate + free toppings, that allowed you the freedom to customize you personal pizza to your personal delight, to a restrictive model where you pay 50 cents for a now miserly amount of actual ingredient.
In order to get the same {Buffalo Blue Cheese + Spinach + Onions + Garlic} extraordinary tastebud experience I’ve grown to love, I now have to pay the increased base rate of 9.50 + 1.50 for toppings. Please see the attached photo and explain how 20% coverage of onions justifies a 50 cent price, a markup of nearly 10x from the actual cost.
Nearly everyone has been raising their food prices as of late because of supply issues. I would have no complaint if Topp’d had raised their base rate but kept their toppings free and the amounts reasonable. But to suffer this loss to not only my wallet but my also my tastebuds is too grave an insult to continue being a returning customer.
Topp’d has already missed out on 100$ of dollars of revenue from me, and will continue to do so. That shouldn’t deter you from giving their pizza a try. It is still for the most part, delicious. But it’s more of a one time tourist attraction rather than a mainstay of Lenexa eateries.

Sorry maybe my pizza standards are too high (they are) but this was just bad. The sauce almost made me gag, cheese was cheap, dough was doughy. The meatballs were half decent. Staff also seemed irritated by the presence of customers. Overall atmosphere of the Public Market was cool, will go back to try different vendors.

Stopped by Topp’d a couple of weekends ago as I had noticed on their menu that not only do they offer dairy-free cheese, but their original crust is dairy- and egg-free, as well! I was diagnosed with a dairy and egg sensitivity in December 2019 and navigating the world has been very different since then. This was my first pizza in over a year. Like, sit with that thought for a sec. My first pizza in over a YEAR. And it was wonderful! May the universe always bless Topp’d and their willingness to accommodate those of us with food allergies and sensitivities. It was really nice to feel as though I live a somewhat normal foodie life.

Really enjoyed this place. The building is cafeteria style with lots of options on place to eat. Toppd was very good had the half pizza and salad. It came with a very large cookie. Will definitely come back

Love this place and glad it’s in the Lenexa public market. I usually stop here on Tuesdays since they have pizzas for $7. My fave is definitely the Greek, but the topped out pizza is also great.

Beautiful calzone, slight plastic aftertaste. With all of the seasonings that are presented on top of this calzone the taste is not quite there. When I bite into a calzone I expect a rich marinara with fresh cheese. The calzone has a slight plastic aftertaste that lingers. Also, the dough is frozen tasting— flat.

Mediocre food, bad service. Got a text my food was ready and went to the pickup window where my name was listed under ‘ready’. Took forever to get the employees attention who said my food wasn’t ready. I stood there for ten minutes with an angry, hungry toddler until my name dropped off the ‘ready’ list and I approached her again. At that point she pulled my order out from under the counter where it had been the whole time. I pointed out that I had asked her about it previously, to which she replied she knew and they were busy. She had earbuds in and couldn’t hear me or wasn’t listening to me. Her non-apology was lackluster and I will not be back due to the horrible customer service.
