Awesome road side barbeque spot. The nicest people. Love the trailer set up for rotisserie, wood smoked fire. We tried everything, chicken was the winner. Super moist. Followed by pork ribs then beef ribs. Worth a detour, highly recommended.

The chicken was delicious!!! We were fortunate to score the last half chicken today and it did not disappoint! The staff was super friendly and the food was fantastic! Highly recommend the coconut manju to go with the chicken, too! Can’t wait to come back the next time we are the Big Island.

Unbelievably good food. Even the white meat was moist and tender. The plantain spring rolls and pork ribs were also fantastic. Portions are large, we split the plates between 2 people making this a very affordable lunch option. They do not have tables at their stand so we set out some beach towels in the grass and had a makeshift picnic. I would highly recommend. Get there fast, though! They were sold out of most of their meat by 12:45 pm! (Sunday)

This place lives and breathes the aloha spirit! The best Huli huli chicken and beef ribs I’ve ever had. The chicken is very flavourful, moist, juicy, and smoked all in one bite. And the ribs have incredible spice, cook and smoke on them. Highly recommend this stop. It is a must try

You can smell the food from 1/2 mile away! The chicken is amazing… Smoked flavor, juicy… The skin… You’ll fight over it! Also tried the pork ribs the next day…. My new favorite. The flavor is awesome! Can’t wait to have them again next year!

This is a road side barbecue chicken place that service ribs too. Pork & Beef. There are no table, but you can tailgate or throw out a blanket on the grassy area and have a picnic. We purchase a whole chicken along with pork & beef ribs and took it all home and fed 6 people and had plenty of left overs for the next day.

I visited this most amazing GJ’s Huli Chicken by pure chance and let me tell you- THE BEST CHICKEN I HAVE EVER HAD—-HANDS DOWN. Initially- from the roadside, we saw the rolling smoke as the chickens were being cooked, then decided to stop and see what all the people in line were waiting for. So glad we stopped. I recommend this place to everyone!! You’re going to love it! Menu has lots of grilled meats and sides to offer!!
