I was wrong. It was absolutely delicious and the staff are amazing. Even though you order at the counter they were still checking on us often.
We got the crab Rangoon for an app and it was good. I ordered the spicy teriyaki tofu with udon noodles, onions, and mushrooms and hot mustard. Outstanding! I’ll definitely be back and ordering that again!
My son had a bite of mine and he said my tofu is better (lol. So sweet. He meant that I cook at home) but, I didn’t have to cook or clean so I’ll take it hah!
My son ordered the hibachi chicken with mixed vegetables minus mushrooms and got the pink sauce. We also ordered a spicy tuna roll and volcano roll. The rolls were very good but in my opinion the star was the spicy teriyaki tofu with udon noodles.
I personally don’t understand giving a place one star just because someone working the drive thru didn’t ask a car to move for you. There’s definitely a lot of space in the parking lot but if you were so close to the person in front waiting on food personally I’d have either stuck my head out the window or jumped out and asked them very kindly if they’d mind moving up just a smidge so I could scoot by. I mean it definitely couldn’t have been as bad as being trapped in the Dairi-o or Chick-fil-A drive thru lol.
At any rate the food was outstanding and the service was amazing. Maybe y’all lost a customer in the review about the drive thru but you gained one in me and my family. ❤️
I ordered 3 fried Shelton Rolls and they were the best I have ever had. In case you don’t know what a Shelton Roll is. (It is a relatively new roll.) It is a no frills, no raw fish sushi. Designed for the minimalist at heart.
Just the normal white rice and seaweed wrap. With 2 sticks of crab meat (precooked) and a stick of cream cheese. No vegetables or weird green fruit (avocado). Normally comes with eel sauce (no real eels, just a sweet sause) but that is optional. I prefer mine fried. It doesn’t even come with those weird white and green dips.
I highly recommend you trying!!!
If there’s a minor inconvenience, avoid using the drive-through if the Gen Z girl with the blonde hair is working the window.
There was a car sitting in front of me as I was at the window, taking the food from her and there was a car behind me.
As a basic request, I asked her if it was possible to ask the person in front of me to pull up so I could get out.
I KID YOU NOT
her response was
“what…”
I was wondering if she was deliberately messing with me, or if she didn’t quite understand my request.
I said “ yes, is it possible to ask them to pull forward? I don’t want to hit my car and I can’t get out.”
Her response is
“they’re waiting there to get their food.”
At this point,
I can’t help but think to myself,
Yes, queen, I completely understand that.
(No, I thought they were waiting there to pick up their kids from school.)
Wow, how ignorant can one person be?
So, she decides to shut the window and completely disregards the fact that I have to wait there. She couldn’t care less.
Here’s to you Queen-
Please don’t venture beyond your front yard; you’ll struggle to survive in the real world. Also be prepared. Robots will easily replace you.
I understand that this girl doesn’t care because it’s clearly not her business. She lacks the intellectual capacity to manage a minor situation.
My husband and I have had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant on multiple occasions, both in-person and for takeout. Each experience has been consistently positive.
To the owners, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the unacceptable behavior I have encountered during my recent visit to your business.
As a result, we will be forced to cease spending any further money at your establishment sadly.
Actions have consequences.
Second experience had sauce for my crab rangoon. Ill change my stars from 3 to 5. I understand businesses have room to improve and nothing is perfect.
Am I nuts? Did you run out? Swapping lo mein noodles with spaghetti is pretty insane
I had the pleasure of dining at SORA JAPANESE RESTAURANT for the first time, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the service was top-notch.
Now, let’s talk about the food – absolutely delicious! The steak Hibachi a standout dish and Sweet Tea was packed with flavor, and you can tell that a lot of care goes into each dish. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented.
It’s clear that the owner Kenny and his Wife has poured their heart into this place, and it shows in every detail, from the décor to the menu. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and can’t recommend Sora Japanese Restaurant enough to anyone looking for a great meal and a fantastic dining experience. Keep up the amazing work!
