My personal favorite is the Seeraga Samba Chicken Biryani which is unique: not the regular style basmati biriyani or not the thalapakkai style or not ambur style biryani. Loved the unique flavors, must try item.
The Kothu Parotta was also great, probably better than any other kothu parotta I had in the bay area. I could feel that it was fresh and no stupid things like cabbage were added to the kothu making it feel more authentic.
The chicken 65 was also yummy, kinda crispy on the outside yet juicy on the inside with the right balance of hot. It was a teeny bit salty to my taste but it did remind me of the chicken 65 my drunken friend made some 10 years ago on a rainy afternoon.
Other items I liked are mutton sukka, mutton biriyani (this one is with basmati rice and tiny pieces of well cooked meat).
This place is a lesser known gem, give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

They also do catering orders for both non vegetarian & vegetarian options. We ordered a breakfast catering order for about 15-20 people Idli, vada, poori & pongal, kesari and coffee. Apparently they could also make some items vegan provided we order a few days ahead.
Got to chat with the owner, who seemed like a nice fellow. Apparently they make their own parotta from scratch! I also shared with him some of my feedback – about the chicken 65 I asked him to reduce the food color. I was surprised to hear that they don’t use any food color at all, apparently all the reds were from the kashmiri chilli powder!
Prawn Melagu Thokku was a perfect dish with great flavor!
Chicken Biryani was full of flavor and is also a must try.
Paratha & Curd Rice were good.
Gobi 65 was quite bad – oil tasted funny and didn’t have any flavor.
Chicken curry that came with the Paratha had decent flavor but was watery.
Quantities were smaller than usual restaurant dishes. The Biryani was half the size of a regular order from other restaurants.
Operating out of a cloud kitchen you can place an order on any number of food delivery/ pickup apps. I chose pick up since I was in the area.
The chicken biryani (not Hyd style mind you) and was delish! This particular style I personally haven’t tasted, this well made in the Bay Area. Mutton Chukha was very good as well but you can pretty much get that flavor at any decent South Indian restaurant. My point being go for the biryani and get the mutton but not for the mutton alone.
Eager to try the other items on the menu!
Chicken biryani is yummy and their type was different than the usuals. I think this is closer to ambur style but not exactly ambur either.
Their chicken biryani is made with seeraga samba and mutton biryani is with basmati rice. Both of them were exceptionally good.
Plus they also gave gulab Jamun as a compliment. This is my favorite go to place for non veg craving. The food was very authentic.
However, today the apple payasam tasted more like melted ghee than payasam (couldn’t drink it) and the chicken curry didn’t have the usual flavor. I’m hoping this was a one off case, because usually the food tastes great and hopefully the original flavor of these items come back!
Food wise, I’ve tried chicken curry, idiyapam, porotta, chicken biriyani, rice/veggies combo, and fried fish and they’re all VERY tasty. Highly recommend!
