Me and my beautiful lady decided to go by here for the first time for breakfast, I must say it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our waitress/bartender was January and she did a wonderful job even though we were there as soon as they opened.

Stopped here for lunch on my way home from Lafayette. I was looking for something unique, not a chain, so I used ChatGPT to find local restaurants along my route. This spot came up, and since there’s not much between Lake Charles and home, I decided to try it.
I ordered the chicken fried steak, loaded mashed potatoes (I wanted broccoli but they were out), beignets, and an Old Fashioned. Everything was delicious. I’ll definitely stop here again if I’m in the area.

I’ve been coming to Jasper area a couple times a year for six years. Why am I just now discovering this great restaurant?! Because it’s been open less than a year! Great addition to the area! I ordered shrimp ‘n grits and a side of beignets. Southern comfort food at its finest! I asked for light powdered sugar on the beignets. I really dislike it when places cover them like a snowy mountain. Every bite of food was super. My waitress January rocked. Darling place in downtown. I’ll definitely be back.

I ordered the breakfast platter with eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, a side of gravy, and the fried green potatoes—and every single item was cooked exactly the way I requested.
The real showstopper? Those fried green potatoes—they were hands down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and packed with Southern flavor. And the gravy? Creamy, rich, and downright crave-worthy. But nothing—nothing—could beat the fried green tomatoes. If you go, do not leave without trying them. They’re next level!

The Jewel that Jasper needed! We have been for breakfast and lunch so far and plan to be regulars. The food has been delicious and well made each time. I highly recommend their burger! I believe there are 2 types but with the same patty and that is the real show stopper.
The servers are all very friendly and I appreciate that they go the extra step to verify ingredients and which items are house-made. Owners John and Soloria (huge apology if I’m spelling that wrong) came to check on our table and we loved their enthusiasm for bringing this bistro to Jasper.
Double bonus points that I finally have a bright spot with cocktails to bring my mom and mother-in-law

I ate here yesterday and loved it so much I went back today! The food was AMAZING! The chicken fried chicken was my favorite! The chicken fried steak is huge and well worth the money! The shrimp & Grits reminds me of New Orleans! The staff is just as amazing as the food! Everyone needs to try them out! I will be back weekly!

I am soooo impressed with this place!!! The Littles and I decided to drive into Jasper and try out the Jewel Bistro. I am so freaking glad we did. We ordered both fried green tomatoes and beignets for appetizers. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but their beignets are better than any I have ever had in New Orleans. They were so light, not your normal super dense ones. They were OUTSTANDING. The fried green tomatoes came with bacon and were phenomenal. I ordered avocado toast that comes layered with sour dough toast, avocado, tomatoes, over easy eggs and feta cheese. Yaaaaasss ma’am. This place is a homerun. I’m still blown away by the beignets. Who would have thought I would have found the best beignets of my life in Jasper, TX?

10/10 recommend! The ladies were all so kind and helped each other out with the tables to keep all the drinks filled and food coming out. Every table was quickly bussed and the bathrooms were immaculate. I recommend the beignets and the burgers. My son loved the huge grilled cheese on the kids menu. I will be back!
