I ordered the southwest bowl as recommended by the cashier. I also got the MS Skinny shake. Both were fresh made to order. The steak was delicious. I also loved the smoothie. It was a big portion of cooked to order steak and my bowl. Almost enough for two people to share.

Will come back

I expected a lot more from a fitness-centered restaurant. I paid nearly $18 for the GFB Burger, and what I received looked nothing like the photo on the menu, not even close.

For the price, the quality and presentation were really underwhelming.

For a place that markets itself around clean eating, they don’t even offer basic options like sugar-free ketchup, which feels like a big miss for customers who actually care about macros and ingredients.

On top of that, even though you order and pay at the counter, staff don’t bring your food out — you have to go pick it up yourself — yet they still prompt you to tip the cashier.

Overall, Protein House charges premium prices but delivers average food, minimal service, and misses the details that real fitness-oriented customers care about.

I have to complement the gentleman who was our cashier though, great and friendly, he saved the experience.

Staff was very helpful when ordering. Portions were nice and flavors were great. We ordered BBQ Bison wrap, Thai monster bowl and Anti-inflammatory juice.

It is very loud due to high ceilings and harder to hear with hearing issues. Place is handicapped accessible.

When i went: Saturday lunch time
What i got: protein house burger w/ sweet potato rounds
What i noticed: not busy especially during a busy lunch time of the week
What i felt: slightly confused because the menu was a little too large (which probably influences the prices) but the staff were kind

The total cost was 26$ for 1 meal, especially as a high school student w/ a partime job this place is a right hook to your wallet if you wanna eat good. But the fact was i did eat good. The food was filling and (like the premise of the store) very fitting to my diet i also got an insane workout after eating here

This has become one of my favorite places to grab food. I tried it out for a birthday present to myself last week and I must say exceeded all my expectations. I have now ordered several times. I am such a huge fan of the pbcrush shake! I enjoy it right after a good morning run! Nothing has been disappointing. We just tried muscle builder burgers this afternoon for our lunch option. This place knows how to hit the palate. I truly appreciate all the options, and the fact that the food isn’t overly seasoned, nor is it bland. It definitely is a win for someone who has to watch what they eat and their sodium intake. You guys are such a blessing to have here in Bismarck. The food is great, but the staff makes it all the more better. Right there is worth every penny to your buck! You’ll definitely be seeing more of my family! Thank you for the fantastic service and such delicious food!

three for three ordering food to go…food missing, order was completely wrong. my burger was basically raw, and I guess a lettuce wrap means simply placing a single leaf of lettuce on top of the burger patty. Lastly, they won’t answer a phone when you call the store in hopes to get your money back or even in store credit…paid $35 dollars for a hamburger patty and soggy cucumbers. 0 out of 5 stars, would not recommend.

Great spot with a few but delicious vegan options. For breakfast, I kept it simple with the oatmeal and added vegan protein powder and it was good. Could’ve used a bit more cinnamon or some other spice to kick it up a notch. I think they excellent in their savory options like the plant based power bowl or wrap which I would definitely order next time. Still, can’t be mad that I’m able to get a good-quality and high protein meal for breakfast in Bismarck!

I was looking for a healthy option for lunch while doing work in Bismarck and ran across this place. I got the Thai Monster Bowl and it was spectacular. Steak was cooked to medium rare perfection and all the veggies were fresh. That peanut sauce…..yessir!!!
Minot needs a place like this.

I have given this place multiple tries and every time it has been a disappointment. The first time, I ordered a bowl with chicken and vegetables to go, and when I opened it everything was swimming in oil. It was completely inedible. Tried it a second time, and this time got chicken with the vegetables on the side, and same story, everything swimming in oil. The only time I ever got something decent was when I simply ordered a side of the bison and it was just ok, not seasoned and a little chewy. I would not return here again.

Protein House fills an important niche in the Bismarck–Mandan area — genuinely healthy options are hard to come by — but unfortunately that lack of competition seems to have allowed their quality and value to slip. Meals (plus a shake) running $20–$30 feel overpriced for what you receive. The food is often prepared very quickly, which shows: items sometimes arrive overcooked or sparse on vegetables, and the rice is consistently hard and difficult to chew. Service and speed can vary widely; I highly recommend ordering online ahead of time during peak hours because the wait can be atrocious. With modest improvements — better-cooked rice, fresher veggies, and portion/value adjustments — this could easily be a go-to spot. I appreciate having a healthy option locally and will keep an eye on changes, but for now I’d visit selectively.
