Social Profile:

Riley’ Place is a quaint music Venue and historical Tavern that offers comfort foods, such as the old time favorites, Shepherd’s Pie, Chicken Pot Pie, Chicken and Dumplings, Steak Tips, Lemon Chicken. We are definitely about Comfort Foods. . We are a great music Venue featuring local bands. We mainly feature Classic Rock, but add in a little country once in a while. We have a Blues Jam every Sunday afternoon. Check out our Facebook page for upcoming events. We are the best little music place in town and we are located in the tavern which is in the back of the Colonel Shepard house, a building that is over 250 years old. Very quant, cozy and friendly. We are right next-door to Rite Aid pharmacy in Milford on the hill.

Made the trip to Riley’s last Sunday for their Blues Music Sunday. You would never know it was a restaurant/bar just by driving by. It looks like an old farm house. It’s a two level venue with a bar up top and high tables and a stage and low seated tables down bottom. Really cute place. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. Drinks were reasonably priced and great food selection. So fun to eat and listen to people jamming to blues music. I got the pulled pork on their homemade cheddar biscuits. AMAZING! I didn’t know there were three sliders, so I had leftovers for the next days lunch. I’d highly suggest taking a trip on a Sunday to check it out. They also have a large outdoor seating area in the back.

Went with my wife for our annivesary and brought our daughter. The restaurant was freezing cold, and the food was terrible. Probably fine if all you want is a bar. Complete waste of an evening and $120.

EDIT
While my wife and daughter said that their meals were “fine”, they were being polite. My wife’s steak tips were overcooked, the baked potato was undercooked, she brought it home and had to cook it further to be able to eat it. My daughter’s meal was flavorless. They were simply too polite to tell the truth. My first bite of chicken was fat and gristle, and it was also flavorless, like you get when you microwave a piece of chicken. The salad was almost entirely lettuce, with a small amount of tomato, onion and cucumber and a couple of croutons as decoration. It was not good but I decided after seeing my wife’s meal that I wanted nothing further from your kitchen, hence I declined to get a replacement item.

Got take out today for my wife on my way home from work. First time for Riley’s place, definitely the last. The place looks neat so I don’t have anything bad to say about that. The food however was mighty disappointing. Let’s start with the steak tip I asked to be medium rare they were definitely over cooked to medium well, also very bland and taste unseasoned. The Mac and cheese they were on top of was also extremely underwhelming, lacked flavor and tastes like oil and butter, barely taste like cheese at all. The side Caesar Salad I ordered ended up being some other salad and to my surprise came with no dressing at all and also looks underwhelming. Can’t believe I spent 35$ on this food. Never again, you have been warned.

Riley’s is a hit with locals. The food is very good? The atmosphere is cozy/small friendly bar atmosphere. Wait staff is terrific. Not a place for business meetings but great with friends who like a few drinks and live music (Soultown funk band plays there regularly).

Super quaint hide away tucked North of the Oval. Must haves: Half moon mozzarella, Wings!
Best tip for management: Need to put some cushions on the benches.

First time going here. We enjoy listening to local music and heard about Blues Jam Sundays at Riley’s Place. The talent was wonderful! The hostess who greeted us and our server, Jenn, were really friendly. Lots of fun and great music! We had nachos and the butter lobster roll. Delicious! We’re putting this place on our Sunday rotation!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Experience at Riley’s Place!
I had an exceptional time at Riley’s Place and can’t wait to return. The highlight of the evening was the phenomenal service from our waitress, Rebecca. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Her timing was impeccable, and she handled our table with such professionalism and charm—it really elevated the entire dining experience.

On top of that, the live blues music was absolutely top-notch. The energy, talent, and atmosphere it created made the evening unforgettable. It’s not often you find a place where both the service and entertainment shine so brightly.

I’ll definitely be coming back, and it’s all thanks to Rebecca’s amazing service and the incredible blues vibes. Highly recommend!

Riley’s is probably one of the best places to see live music in New Hampshire. All of the staff is super friendly and make you feel like you’re at home. And the food is amazing! Last night I tried the bourbon chicken over jasmine rice and it was to die for. The chicken was so tender that I was able to cut it with my Fork it was delicious!

Everything about it besides the actual meal was great. Everything was very bland. Brisket was super dry. Steak tips were supposed to be maple bourbon but had no flavor. Apps were good but entrees weren’t worth what I was spending
