We do not use artificial sweeteners and offer a wide variety of vitamin supplements and “super foods” such as Chia seeds, flax seeds, maca powder, and whey protein! My husband and I have come in here basically every day of our trip to Duck and really enjoyed the açaí bowls and smoothies! It seems difficult to find a good smoothie or bowl these days that aren’t loaded in sugar and the ones here are done right! We also really enjoyed the lunch food too. The person we believed to be the owner seemed incredibly kind along with the rest of the staff! We never waited more than 5 minutes for our order! Also such a cute vibe inside. We will keep returning for sure!

I saw a promotion for Island Smoothie Cafe in Our State Magazine, so I found the eatery at my first opportunity in the area. I came specifically to try the Smoothie, BUT the options are too great to make a confident one-time selection. I tried the Caribbean Dreams since its ingredients were familiar and provided a base for comparison. The smoothie was refreshing, but the orange juice dominates too much. I will return to find a variety that makes my palette sing. I did not sample any of the food, but the cafe seemed to be a charming place to relax and enjoy nutritious food. They offer a cash pay discount, and the staff members are friendly and patient.

We stayed in Duck NC for spring break of 2022 and went to Island Smoothie Cafe every day we were there. Everything we tried was delicious, and their ingredients were so fresh and of the best quality. Their açaí bowls were definitely the best I have ever had. The cafe itself was very cute and the staff was super friendly and helpful. My family was very pleased by the experience and recommend Island Smoothie Cafe to anyone in town!

Went after visiting the Boardwalk. Is nestled in another community of shops but isn’t on the boardwalk itself (at least we drove here instead of walking). Lots of food options and solid kids meal options. Some indoor seating with some outdoor covered seating as well. My kids (5 & 9) loved the grilled cheese.

This was our first time in Duck. My daughter is a smoothie enthusiast! I’m so glad we found this gem of a place, her favorite was Macho Mango smoothie and the Island bowl. This place puts Tropical Smoothie to shame. Highly recommend! Until next time my friend!

We had such a great experience here! My 4-year-old accidentally spilled his smoothie, and the staff didn’t hesitate to step in. They cleaned it up right away with a smile and even made him a brand-new one. On top of that, the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. That kind of kindness and great food really stood out to us. Highly recommend this place!

Incredible lunch! We ate at Island Smoothie today for the first time in Duck, NC. I had the Cobb salad and the peanut butter and jelly açaí bowl. The family had sandwiches, smoothies, avocado toast, and açaí bowls. Everything was amazing and tasted so fresh! My tummy was SO HAPPY!!! It was so good the kids are begging to go again before we leave town. Owner and staff were extremely friendly as well. I highly recommend hitting up one of these if you are vacationing in OBX!

We visited OBX for the first time and stumbled upon this gem! We came back 4 times and kept bringing friends because the smoothies, bowls and wraps are SO good. There’s something for everyone. Great, friendly service and amazingly fresh and delicious food! 10 out of 10!!
