We decided to try Tacos Los Oaxacos tonight after reading the glowing reviews. All of the possibilities sounded good, but we ended up ordering two mulitas, one pastor and the other carne asada. It was fascinating watching our order being cooked and put together–all done quickly and efficiently at the same time as other orders were being taken and prepared. The results were spectacular. Mulitas are a relatively simple dish: meat and cheese, with optional chopped onions and cilantro, sandwiched between two lightly fried corn tortillas. Both kinds of meat were flavorful and succulent, the cheese was perfectly melty, and the tortillas just slightly crispy but still soft. They offer three kinds of salsa: spicy (red), medium (green), and mild (green). Available drinks include horchata and soft drinks. The owners are incredibly sweet, too. We highly recommend Tacos Los Oaxacos; in fact, we’re going back for more tomorrow night!

Some of the best food I had road tripping from San Francisco down to LA!!! We had Mexican food at nearly every stop, and this place was the absolute best. The lengua texture was amazing, the asada was perfectly smoky, and they’re very generous with the protein portions. We ended up going twice while in town to explore Joshua Tree NP and I wish we could go back a third time. Don’t miss them when they’re there, which seems to generally be at night as they are completely outdoors.

Taco Shack, great place if you’re interested in a quick delicious meal. Only down side to this spot is, The Wind.
Mother Nature some times causes this business problems and these guys either pack up early or don’t come at all.
Just so you know, on Tuesdays the Tacos are $2 .
But if you see these guys, get a bite to eat. And support this business with a generous Tip .
Just in case you are hungry for a bigger bundle, call ahead and place a bigger order+
