this was my first time here and I’m telling you in my “outside voice” THIS WAS THE BEST BREAKFAST ON THIS SIDE OF THE VALLEY” EVERYTHING WAS FRESH! COOKED HOMEMADE, not GREASY, oh my gosh! mmm THE BACON WAS FRESH AND CRISPY like BACON SHOULD BE, the SCRAMBLED EGGS WERE FRESH AND SEASONed WITH CHEESE, and the SAUSAGE LINKS WERE BOMB!! the WAITRESS WAS AWESOME! even the COFFEE WAS FRESH!

The good was very good. We had the Easter Brunch Buffet and there was an excellent choice of items to eat. Everything was hot and tasty. The servers were professional and very friendly. This is somewhere we will definitely visit again.

The food was excellent! The house hot sausage was so delicious. Everyone in here was super nice too! I’ll definitely be back and would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good diner style breakfast!

Pleasant local diner whose owners have lived in the community and know it’s history.
The food is good comfort food. Breakfasts and lunches are the diner standards: I highly recommend their Combination sandwich. Burgers are also solid choices (mushroom/Swiss).
You will be full and content, regardless of selection.
Donorans past and present will appreciate that this is on the site of the former Costas’ Restaurant.
And the coffee is mild, pleasantly warm and palate-pleasing.

I can’t say enough good things about my breakfast this morning at The Early Bird Diner. This hidden treasure is sure to be my go-to spot for breakfast every time I’m in the Mon Valley with a hankering for a veggie omelet. The staff was friendly, and the whole look of the place had a throwback vibe that filled me with nostalgia for days gone by. As I already alluded to, the veggie omelet was “fire” (as the kids would say). Speaking of kids, my girlfriend’s son was blown away by the size of the pancake! It was much bigger than his head, which is proven by the picture I’ve provided. My girlfriend and our friend Mike are both meatheads, and they enjoyed the variety of breakfast proteins…they both commented several times on the high quality of the bacon and sausage. My compliments to the chef, as well as the entire staff who made this breakfast experience one I’ll always remember. I can’t wait to go back!

We tried this place for the first time today via a Facebook recommendation. We both had the breakfast buffet which was pretty good. The star of the show was the home fries.
We saw pictures of other breakfast options off the menu and believe you would get a better product. Will definitely try the sausage patty and eggs over easy on the next round.
Nice space and good customer service.
