With the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked bread and the rhythmic sizzle of grilling meats, Tommy Salami’s Deli serves up mouthwatering pizzas and meticulously prepared deli meats, all made in-house and ready to be cherished by those in Woodcrest, Orangecrest, or Riverside.

This used to be my favorite spot for pizza. I don’t know if they hired new cooks or what, but my last experience was terrible.
The XL pizza we ordered was covered in flour, which left a pasty film in our mouths. When I called, I was simply told, “That’s how we make our pizzas—you don’t like it.” I also mentioned that the pizza seemed undercooked, and I later realized it was because the dough was far too thick.
I’m not someone looking for handouts, but the least they could have done was offer to remake it. The call ended with them saying, “I’ll let the kitchen know about the flour, but I won’t mention the cook on the pizza because they are all cooked the same way on the conveyor belt. I hope you enjoy it.”
It’s crazy to tell someone to “enjoy” their food after they’ve just complained about it, without even a hint of an apology. I’ve attached pictures it’s hard to tell, but the whitish-yellow spots are clumps of flour.

Our first time here. We dined in and had the Diavolo large pizza. It was very spicy. I expected spice but man oh man. The meat on it was yummy. They have an arcade dining room.

I’ve really enjoyed the food from Tommy Salami’s the two times I’ve eaten from there. We got a pizza to go the first time, and it was great, lots of fresh bright tomato sauce, plenty of cheese and toppings on a nice crispy crust. The second time we ate in, and loved the wings, meatballs, and the Gonzo pizza. Awesome flavors, fresh ingredients, and great service. Nothing not to love. We’ll definitely be back, and I hope they go the distance!

If you want cheap tasting pizza, you would honestly be better off at a movie theater and it would cost less too. I cannot recommend eating here. The long wait times, slow service, and obvious errors around the restaurant made this a place I will not be revisiting. From flat soda machines to overpriced pizza that cost nearly seventeen dollars for a ten inch pie with tax, nothing justified the price.
The pizza seemed okay on the first bite, but after one slice my stomach started to turn. This is not the spot if you are looking for quality food or fair pricing. Good luck, because Tommy Salami’s place really needs it.

I’m impressed about the following for this pizza joint: taste, quality, toppings, and the freshness of the pizza off the oven. When I take a bite from the crust, it’s crispy and soft, especially when the pizza is fresh off the oven. What I really enjoyed for sure was definitely adding pastrami as a topping, as well as the pizza being light on grease which is a good thing. When I show up again next time, I will 100% ask the workers to add extra pastrami as the meat is really good as a combination with cheese. The wait time is worth the wait.

Great customer service, very friendly & hard workers. Yes, it’s a longer wait but because they are freshly making the food, we didn’t mind the wait the food was worth it. The tallow fries were so delicious. I personally loved the garlic fries as I am a garlic fan. The Caprese with prosciutto was simple yet so delicious and refreshing. The Hot Forgettabout it sub was also very good. We will definitely be back, family loved everything.

Best pizza in town. That’s the only place my husband will eat. I also love the app; it’s easy, quick, and always on point.

Best pizza in Riverside. And I eat a lot of pizza. This is coming from a person who flew to New York last September for a pizza festival. Crust was light, airy and crispy. Sauce was homemade and well seasoned. I’ll have to stop by again soon.
