Yum!!! I ordered the spinach and artichoke chip for my appetizer and the crema for my entree. Everything was delicious! Service was great and so was the wine. They carry a couple of my favorite whites: White Haven and Oyster Bay. Can’t wait to go back.

Enjoyed a nice dinner at the Green Door. Warm, tasteful casual decor. Menu featured a wide variety of options. The maple salmon was very good. Portions were not oversized. Our server was knowledgeable and very attentive.

Wait staff was great, adorable place, love the atmosphere and decorations. We got the fries green tomatoes for an appetizer, which were delicious. I ordered the Andouille Crusted Catfish and my husband got the Milk and Honey Pork. The pork was delicious, tender, well-seasoned. The overall plate was a little on the sweeter side for our personal tastes. The andouille catfish was supposed to be “encrusted with a minced smoked sausage mixture”…it was a good piece of catfish but there was no hint of smoked sausage/andouille seasoning or minced sausage in the fish breading. Will definitely be back, but will probably try different dishes.

We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We arrived without a reservation, not knowing if they would be able to accommodate us, and they were incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Even though they were busy, they made space for us and treated us like valued guests.
The service was absolutely amazing — attentive, friendly, and genuine. Our server made excellent recommendations and checked on us regularly without being intrusive. You could really tell the staff cared about providing a great experience.
The food was just as impressive. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.
We are so grateful they accommodated us on short notice. It turned what could have been a stressful situation into a truly memorable evening. We will definitely be back — and next time, we’ll still make a reservation… but it’s nice to know they go above and beyond for their guests!

Went here yesterday for lunch cute place, had two appetizers that were delicious fried Gouda and shrimp. I was very excited for some Cajun food I like spicy. I had the Gumbo it wasn’t spicy my friend had the Jambalaya it wasn’t spicy either maybe they don’t make it spicy trying to appeal to more people but Cajun is Spicy!

My wife and I have been coming to this location for years while it was under different ownership/restaurants, and Green Door is by far the best experience we’ve had. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service was outstanding. A special shout-out to our waitress Erika—she made our visit truly enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back and will happily recommend Green Door in Brooksville to our friends

As someone from the homeland—New Orleans—I was excited when I saw the menu. It had that familiar, comforting vibe that makes you think, “Alright, maybe these folks know what they’re doing.”
Then we sat down.
The table was a bit dirty and slightly wet, and the menu had two stains on it. Oddly enough, this somehow made me feel at home. If you’ve eaten in enough real NOLA spots, you know a little grime just means the food might be worth it.
The TV livefeed of deer eating was a fun surprise. Nothing says “authentic dining experience” like watching wildlife snack while you wait for your own meal.
The service, though, was… let’s call it “reluctant.” Ordering felt like we were interrupting the waitress’s day, and drink refills were clearly not her specialty. My Benedict was very nice—no complaints there. But the gumbo was super salty, salt lick level. I mentioned it to the waitress, but her concern hovered right around zero.
I’ll probably give the place another shot someday, but let’s just say I’m not rushing back with jazz hands and a second-line parade.

Overall, the food and experience was top notch. Starting with appetizers the spinach and artichoke dip was the best we have ever had. Made with fresh spinach it was very smooth and quite delicious! We also had the Meridian Shrimp. The shrimp were perfectly cooked with a great touch of spice! The fried green tomatoes were also a hit. For dinner, most of my party had the gumbo. The general consensus was that it was good, but it had a scorched after taste. I had the shrimp and grits (pictures) which was excellent and the portion was very generous! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the easy going vibe of the reaturant. Well worth the trip!
