Leslie was an awesome server. She took the best pictures ever. Patric came to our table to inquire about our food, and it was awesome! Looking forward to be here again. Actually we’ll stay another night!

This place was an awesome experience. I arrived with high expectations, and they were exceeded. The steak was among the best I’ve ever had. My bourbon cocktail was out of this world. The wine pairing my server recommended was truly well matched with the meal. And speaking of the server, she was the perfect balance of attentive without hovering. But the best part was the view. I timed my visit to be there for the sunset; I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

This was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. We booked a brunch for Mother’s day and were excited to go with our mother who was here on holiday. It was a day that was supposed to be special. Bearing in mind, this place is trying to set a standard locally. I have to say we had a better experience in Cracker Barrel and IHOP. What we received as food was way overpriced, poor quality, and to make matters worse, the service was so under par it was laughable. Coffee was cold, then we asked for Cappuccino’s instead and were given something that was anything but a Cappuccino. To make matters worse, the server said they made it with almond milk because that’s what they had. We were never asked what type of milk we would like or made aware of any problem. I am the only one who likes almond milk. My family does now. There was nothing set out special for mother’s day and we received better from other places that are not claiming to be high class and high quality. Now onto the meal, which was supposed to be a wonderful brunch. A mediocre omelet, which is exorbitant in cost considering all you get. No sides, nothing. The quality in Cracker barrel is far superior and has more value. Now I am not being mean when I make the comparison, but we eat out regularly in exceptional restaurants and I am happy to pay a good price as long as we get a dining experience. We added pancakes to our order which were also portrayed as something special and at the price of $14 plus any addition, you would expect them to be plated wonderfully with some decoration, saucer even a substantial amount. As you will see, we got 2 pancakes per portion with nothing else and that was $16 each for both orders for my wife and mother-in-law. The main meal was an excuse, as you will also see. One tiny omelet and nothing else.Just slapped on a plate. The coffees were terrible from the onset and were more reminiscent of a truck stop cafe. Now this is a place I was considering for an event, but that will not happen. As a journalist, I intend to write a more in-depth review in one of our news magazines. We paid 75 USD for something that would have been half the price with more value from Cracker Barrel or IHOP and though my in-law and wife enjoy those places; I do not. This was our mother’s day, and that was not the experience I wanted to give my mother-in-law, whom I love very much.

The Valentine’s Day menu was disappointing. Almost all the menu options on the flyer were changed upon arrival- substitutes. No artichoke dip or octopus and the wedge salads were not wedges. They were iceberg lettuce boats. Advertised as filet mignon with potatoes and shrimp —no potatoes or shrimp and on a bed of soggy veggies. The food overall did not taste bad but we paid $150 for a nice Vday dinner ahead of time. It was false advertising.

This has been in my places to visit for almost a year, and when some friends wanted to get dinner together it was suggested. The service was great, understaffed yet they took a great care of us, as a business owner I know it’s hard to find good people to work nowadays. Our drinks were fantastic, and the food, oh my god, delicious! Can’t beat that juicy filet.

I could go on raving, but just go and taste the food and see for yourself. I wish nothing but good fortune for this family, it’s been a pleasure meeting them. Highly recommend!

MOTHERS DAY FLOP feat. Skylaranna’s Elevations Chophouse.

First off Happy Mother’s Day! I want to say upfront I am being completely transparent and honest in this review, none of this is fabricated or dramatised in any way shape or form.

We decided to dine with the Elevations Chophouse for this lovely holiday after reviewing their pre-fixed menu which in turn looked amazing. The reviews were excellent and it is not far from where we live. I invited my parental figures along with my partner to reservations. We were nicely greeted by an eager host and promptly seated in time. We were then greeted by our sever not in much of timely manner. This is where it began to slowly decline. The two servers were running both in and outdoor sections since 9 am that morning ( to which our main server later on let us know they were not allowed any breaks since then).

Since the menu was prefixed we all decided on which appetiser, main dish, and desert we wanted at once. Ordered our drinks, requested our water glasses be filled when they had the chance. Despite the bread plates on the tables they did not offer bread service. Three of use has ordered the “ Crab soup “ as our first course to which it was received BARLEY warm and very salty. Moments after we finished our appetiser our main course was delivered to us. Upon inital review of the prefixed menu before booking the ” Prime Fillet ” was to be served with a lovely baked potato ( we were told upon ordering it was not longer an option and would be served with ” mashed potatoes ” and seasonal veggies, which was fine! ).

The three of us had our main course delivered while the fourth person had to wait because his ” wasn’t on the ticket ” ( our server later let us know whoever told us that was lying ). Keep in my mind our drinks hadn’t arrived. The 2 out of three of us that ordered fillets had to send them back because they were about 2 minutes shy of rare when they were ordered medium. As you see below our ” mashed ” potatoes were extremely lumpy and undercooked.. along with our ” seasonal veggies” served in a offensivley small portion. My mother who had ordered the grouper said it was dry and overcooked. At this point at 65$ per person prefixed dinner for this service and quality was absurd. Luckily the owner was there helping with service I asked to have a quick private conversation with him.

To my surprise he offered to comp half the bill after I explained the service. The cherry on top wasn’t the service. It was the servers. Our server was apologizing time and time again due to the kitchens food which was not her fault. She explained the owner was blatantly rude. The two servers working an entire restaurant service was forced to split tips with his 17yr old child whose only job was to put silverware on tables and get waters ( which we didn’t receive until way later).

I would never recommend this restaurant ever. The owner could care absolutely less about his staff who he’s rude, verbally abusive, and cruel to. He could care less about the food he was serving. We didn’t see a single smile on a single guests face while dining or while leaving. They lose staff after staff due to the cruelty and disrespectful demeanour the owner and chef provide. And to the owner .. NO we will not be back especially after your “ well are they coming back I already comped over 100$ off their bill”. Skylaranna Do Better !! We even warned a nice couple heading in about what happened and they decided to leave. ‍♀️

Who enjoys grits, an omelet, bacon, and cheese? I certainly do! I had this for breakfast, and I must say, the grits—while I know they can be simple—were truly exceptional. The bacon was also delicious. I wish I could have breakfast here every day because this meal really deserves a trophy!

My friend ordered grits. I’m not a fan of grits. But … these grits were out of this world. Best grits I’ve ever had. It had a thicker texture and a subtle sweet taste, but still savory with the cheese. I loved it. I had the fish sandwich and upgraded the fish option to mahi. Cajun grilled. It was a beautiful large piece of fish, perfectly cooked. Our server was kind and thoughtful. Thank y

My wife and I have been to Elevations Chophouse at Skylaranna multiple times and have had nothing but an excellent experience each time. Food is outstanding and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Steaks are melt in your mouth amazing and cocktails prepared by Zach are very tasty! Attached a couple pics from one of our visits.

I have read a few reviews criticizing the acoustics and that it is just too loud. We felt this way too as it was a bit difficult to hear your company over the competing conversations. However, I can confirm that the owners have addressed the issue by installing a number of aesthetically pleasing acoustic absorbing panels throughout the restaurant as we dined there this past Friday (10/2/20). The panels make a huge difference in the acoustics which makes for a very pleasant dining experience. I highly encourage anyone who was displeased by the acoustics in the past to dine with Elevations again…you will notice the difference.

Cheers!
