I have to say, the food here was not only DELICIOUS, but it was also AUTHENTIC! I recently visited China, which borders Vietnam, and the dish I ordered was SPOT ON. I ordered the ‘Sliced Beef Pho,’ and I was blown away. It felt like I was back in Asia! Jimmy, the owner, was extremely pleasant as well as kind, courteous, and very outgoing, just like I am. I spent almost an hour there eating and conversing with him as there weren’t too many people at the time (it was around 3:00 PM, so in between lunch and dinner). I was enjoying myself so much I actually decided to take a later train haha!! I highly recommended visiting this restaurant. It’s right next door to the Merrick train station which means CONVENIENT. It doesn’t get better than this. I can’t wait to go again. Thanks, Jimmy!!!

Decided to try this restaurant because of the vegan chicken and pork on the menu. They didn’t have the vegan pork so we went with the chicken. I was so hungry I didn’t take the pictures before we started eating , but the food was very tasty as you can see from the photos. We went with the vegan chicken rice box, the vegan chicken pho, and my granddaughter went with the shrimp roll, which she said was good. I also had Vietnamese coffee, which was sweetened to my liking. I don’t remember the name of the drink my granddaughter had but she said it was good. We ate inside; it’s not like a regular restaurant if that’s what you’re looking for, but it served our purpose. I will definitely visit again and try the vegan pork next time.

Nice place, Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations, but it really surprised me. The Banh Mi was good and the bread tasted fresh, but the Pho was definitely the best part. It was flavorful and served in generous portions, perfect for this weather. I’ll definitely be coming back to Kenko with an even bigger appetite. :-]

Highly recommend the sliced beef pho and the short rib pho (if you prefer richer soup)! Noodles were the perfect texture, generous meat portions, and deeply flavorful broth.
Summer rolls came with some of the best peanut sauce. The bahn mi bread is freshly baked, with a crispy crust, and a variety of delicious fillings. Will definitely visit again soon to try more appetizers and sandwiches.

The sauce for the Filet Mignon Banh Mi was too sweet. The server explained that most American customers like sweet sauce. So I exchanged my sandwich for a Vietnamese Shrimp Summer Roll. The shrimp was clean and fresh, but the noodles were soggy.
I will be back to try the Short Rib Banh Mi with a low sugar level. The service here was excellent!

Kenko is a great place to grab some good Vietnamese pho and bahn mi . Staff is very friendly and they are super quick with orders. I recommend the grilled pork bahn mi spicy. And the Pho of course . Prices are reasonable if you’re in the Merrick area be sure to check them out. They’re located right on the corner of the Merrick train station .

I normally like this restaurants food. I like the sliced beef pho and the short rib pho but today i ordered the short rib and all i got was scraps of fat, cartilage and extremely tough pieces of meat. I think the food normally tastes good but it costs more than the other menu items so i feel like i paid more money for a cheap dish.

Came in based on decent reviews, but the restaurant appeared unclean and empty upon arrival. We decided to give it a chance — the pho was average and lacked flavor, and the spring rolls were about a 4/10. On our way out, we noticed the cashier preparing some sort of dumpling by the register without gloves and touching her face, which was very unsanitary. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning. Food should never be prepared outside the kitchen or without proper hygiene.

The service and atmosphere of this restaurant was amazing! My partner and I got pho with sliced beef, and also a traditional banh mi. This is easily the best pho that we have both ever tried, and we have tried many places in Manhattan, Queens, and along Suffolk County. The broth was very clean, flavorful, and had lots of depth! The banh mi was very tasty and satisfying, their pickled vegetables are refreshing. For 2 phos and a banh mi, it was around $40, so it was a great price for a lot of delicious food!
Also as an added bonus, we got fried shrimp on the house! It was such a pleasant and sweet gesture.
While I don’t frequent this area often, when I come back, I will definitely be visiting here again!!
