I stopped in today for the first time to buy lunch meat and was easily talked into buying a pressed “Guban” sandwich. I’m a Cuban food connoisseur so I was a bit skeptical since it didn’t come with pork. Honest to God, this sandwich is absolutely amazing!!! One of the employees mentioned that they offered sharp provolone instead of Swiss so I tried it. All I can say is, everyone needs to try the Guban sandwich!!!!

Great fresh meat counter, steaks, sausage, chicken all fresh cut. We got patty sausage and a meatloaf PLUS they carry The Bakery Shop fresh desserts. We got the sampler box! Delicious! The sausage and meatloaf were delicious as well.

I heard about Gary’s six years ago and said to myself that I will have to check it out. Fast forward six years. I finally stop in the store to check it out. It was like going back in time to a Butcher Shop in Brooklyn NY when I was a kid, the only thing that was missing was the sawdust on the floor. First off the place is very clean and the workers are friendly and helpful. I needed some fish for dinner and they have a small but good variety of fish at good prices. I picked up some cod fish filets to make cod fish cakes, they were delicious. As I was going up to pay for them I seen the store made italian sausage and just couldn’t help my self and ordered eight. Then I was thrown back in time again when he asked how I would like them wrapped up, four to a package please I said. I also pickup breakfast sausage meat (for sausage gravy, also delicious) that he made into 8 oz packages for me. I also went and got more fish Flounder, Salman and breaded shrimp. All this for only $58.00. And by the way the meat in the counter case all looked great. So basically what I am saying is that I have now found my go to Butcher Shop.

This is a fabulous locally owned butcher shop operated by some really nice people. The beef tenderloin steaks cut by the owner were perfect in size (five steaks at about 9 oz. each) and every bite was edible and delicious. No wasted meat at all. We prepped in sous vide at 125 degrees for 70 minutes and finished in a pipping hot iron skillet with a good amount of melted unsalted butter for basting for 90 seconds per side on the gas grill. Let rest covered with foil sheets for 10 minutes. Perfect medium rare, bright pink throughout without any visible blood. Gary’s is the bomb.
