I have lived in Baldwin most of my life, except for some years I spent in Merrick, Hewlett and in Babylon with my ex-husband. I’ve been back in my childhood home trying to get back on my feet after divorce which has been hard and I don’t remember ever visiting this deli, it’s possible I went as a child and don’t remember. On Sunday I was doing a 7 mile run before the blizzard hit because my job was closed. I was almost done with my run and realized I lost my second energy waffle for fuel. So I popped into the deli to see if they had bagels. I didn’t see any bagels but I got a BEC. They accept google pay which was good because I didn’t have my wallet with me just my phone. They didn’t even know they accepted google pay until they asked and I tried it. I got my BEC and sat down in a nice little sitting area the deli provides to eat it before finishing the last of my run. It was great. Better than another BEC I got that I wasn’t too pleased with and felt I didn’t want to review. It was also a pretty good amount of Bacon, egg and cheese a lot of places give you practically nothing now and charge you a lot for it. I ate my awesome sandwich and continued to finish the last mile of my run after. If you haven’t been to this little deli you should go!

FUN IN THE SUN
This is a step back in time to good quality old fashioned NY delis. Food is amazing and always fresh. Its an institution in our community. We’re snowbirds now and when we come home to NY this is a must have on atleast a weekly basis! My dad is elderly and they treat him with so much respect. We have so many great memories here over the years. Thank you!

Deciding to make your own deli meats because one mistake happened with boars head. Seems like they just want to save money. Funny how this place thinks they can make better products than a company who has been around for 120 years! Imagine they only been in business 27 years and they think by making their own turkey will bring back their business. When this all passes over and boars head is the product all want I hope boars head never allows them to have their product again and let them continue to make their own dry turkey. The neighborhood changed that’s why they are slow this is a perfect excuse to bring cheap products in and charge the same. Pay close attention how the prices haven’t changed but they are making their own products which is way cheaper! For years they had the privilege to carry such a great brand but turned on them just to get a little news attention. It will all die down but people won’t forget the desperate move they made to get some publicity. I for sure trust them so much more making their own products you know since they are the experts. Good luck. New Yorkers customers will stay loyal in the long run you will see

The sandwich was great until I found two hairs in it; the decor and general upkeep of the customer side of the counter leads to little surprise that folks in the kitchen aren’t expected to wear hats or hair nets.

The deli has a bit of a country charm but it ends there. Charged a different price daily for the same sandwich, today’s price was 6.29 for two eggs on a bagel, yesterday on a roll was $4 plus. Oddly when i questioned the price he said the roll is more than a bagel. Two days before, two eggs on a bagel was 3.90. If you like eggshells in your scrambeld eggs, this is your place. The bagels were fresh although tastless unless you enjoy a paste like flavor. One woman coughs in her balled up fist while chewing her food then grabs your sandwich and napkins. Didn’t go back from last year because the same woman open mouthed phlemy coughed walking into the kitchen to get my food.
The place has a dirty feel and that goes for the staff as well. No gloves were worn while dipping into the fridge to get the chicken salad. Dirty liked they rolled out if bed and went to work. One guy looks like he was in a dirty uniform type attire that was would be worn at car mechanic job or oil burner service.
The only reason why i stepped in the last four times is because Bagel Dock in Freeport are on vacation for three weeks.
If you want a clean establishment with delicious egg sandwiches, tasty fresh bagels, be charged the same amount each time with a friendly, clean looking staff, i highly recommend Bagel Dock..

My family and I have been going to this deli for over 50 years. That say a lot. We absolutely love this place.
I live down the street from the deli and joke that this will be the selling point for my house.
The food is always great, and I can’t possibly live without their delicious coffee!

Unfortunately almost every time I get an egg sandwich there it is wrong.
( Is not the end of the world but can be a little annoying)
whether the eggs were cooked wrong, or whenever I ordered well done bacon it never came out well done /or crispy
And you would think at 6 AM in the morningThe service would be fairly quick due to the lack of people in there,
I have,

but I have waited upwards of 20-30 minutes just For a single egg sandwich with only maybe 3 or 4 people ahead of me
When they do get it right I have no complaints
