Our goal is to serve the most authentic Lao style Pho and cuisine available to anyone. Almost every herb and spice we use is home grown. Each ingredient’s flavor is specific to what my family’s been cultivating in their garden for years. The techniques used to prepare the food didn’t come from some fancy school. The flavor profile we are creating, is good old fashion home cooking. Come taste for yourself Laotian cuisine. From our family to yours!

Passing through Emporia and was craving Thai food so I stopped to try this place out and couldn’t have been happier! The staff was very attentive and nice, the food was great, and the prices weren’t bad at all!
The crab rangoons were on point and a lot bigger than I was expecting which was nice. I ended up getting the pad Thai with shrimp which was great as well.
The Thai tea was some of the best I had and they don’t give you a small glass of it either!
I will for sure stop back here on my next road trip!

A gem in beautiful downtown Emporia. A simple menu with something for everyone. My son had egg blossom soup which was very tasty, I had fried rice with tofu. Hot oolong tea rounded out our lunch. Not applicable to food, but some of the most interesting hard wood floors I have ever seen. Delightful.

What a pleasant surprise! Driving to Kansas City, found it on the map, and decided to try it out, based on average Google reviews. We are from SE Asia and are pretty picky about good food. Well, Pho Bannlao does not adjust their flavors for the midwestern palate. We had Thai items from the menu, and they’re excellent. The mango sticky rice dessert is fabulous! The owners come from Laos, and a lot of the decorations (wood panels, etc.) are from Laos, and absolutely gorgeous. Good value too! Don’t miss it!
Photos are steamed dumplings & spring rolls.

Not crowded, good food, friendly waiter but felt a little rushed. Had the beef pho, it was pretty good. Enough for some leftovers. My friend had the curry and liked it.

Excellent pho. Came in near closing and only one person both waiting tables and bussing. Took forever to take my order. Forgot my drink. Not unpleasant but not pleasant. Would eat here again, but might not recommend to others.

Loved it. The food was great and the staff was excellent. They didn’t have a kids menu but they made special accommodations for our 2 year old. I only regret is that I haven’t eaten here sooner. The Asian tiger wings are phenomenal and the drunken noodles were great as well. Good prices and large portions.

My sons and I ate there this past summer. Absolutely amazing! I believe I had the very best steamed dumplings in my life. I had the seafood Pho, or perhaps it was called the seafood Hot Pot – but it was fabulous! It’s too bad I live over 3 hours away; I’d be there at least weekly!

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time the other day. We were wanting to try a hot pot. We decided on the seafood hotpot and IT WAS AMAZING. The waiter was helpful and could tell we wee a little out of our element, but he showed us how everything was done! We will definitely be back to try more at this amazing place.

New location that just opened few weeks ago. They have renovated the location tastefully and it’s a clean and comfortable environment. My only complaint would be that it was a tad warm for my liking but it could just be me.
Staff were very helpful with questions about the menu and we were well taken care of. Our order took a little long to be served but the location being a new one and not fully staffed yet was probably the reason.
Food was great, especially the crab rangoon!
