Seriously so pumped to have stumbled upon this place. Fresh sliced meats- even smoked options from the local bbq spot. You can customized the sandwich anyway you want with all kinds of fresh toppings and the sandwich is stuffed full! A great price and great quality. The staff was very friendly too! Highly recommend! Happy to have this food in lago vista!

I love having a sub shop out here in Lago. Most of the sandwiches are pretty great, but I usually have to add extra sauces on all of them for more flavor.
If the owners are open to suggestions, I would like to point out that the Au Jus for the French Dip could use more flavor.
For a takeout order at my home I usually bring a single serving of the jus to a simmer, add a couple teaspoons of beef bouillon and a pinch of dried thyme to help round out the flavor of the sandwich.

Been a while since I had stopped in due to poor service experiences. There were two super friendly ladies working this morning. I chose the Big Boat and it was delicious! My sub was put together with care, not slapped together. If these two gals keep working there I’ll be there more often.

Dirty. I went in For a sandwich and they had a pile of 8 different meats piled up high on their deli slicer. Rude. My wife has to eat gluten free and they make her feel like a burden even though we are paying a premium for different bread. Employees have a terrible attitude. Must not be getting paid fairly by the restaurant owner. Price. The price between the half sandwich and the full sandwich is criminal. A half sandwich should be closer to half price. I’ll never go back after they mistreated my wife.

Don’t let its location in a small strip mall deter you – this hidden gem is a must-visit. The clean and cozy store is reminiscent of Quinoz or Subway, with friendly staff who patiently wait for customers to order. Their North Shore Ruben sandwich is impressive in size and taste, while their special Big boat sub is crafted to perfection. An excellent choice for a satisfying meal.

Met the manager Nicole there and she was incredibly nice and friendly. It was just her there and she was willing to service us despite being very busy. She made our sandwiches quickly. We will be back.

Pretty disappointed with my last visit. My wife found a piece of plexiglass in her sandwich, which could have been really dangerous. I tried reaching out a few times to handle it directly, but never heard back.
My sandwich was also made wrong — I ordered a pizza lovers sandwich and it only had pepperoni and sauce, no cheese, olives, or pepperonchinis. I had to explain what normally comes on it.
This place is usually solid, which makes this even more disappointing.

I was really hoping for more. I am from out of town and wanted a good bagel. This place gets 4.7 stars, so I thought it would be right up my alley. I walked in just after 10:30am and the two working there were sitting in the back. They came out as I looked at the menu screens above. The female said, “You can’t get breakfast” and changed the menu to lunch. I knew breakfast ended at 10:20am per the front hours sign, but I figured a bagel with cream cheese was on the all day menu. So, I asked, “Not even a bagel?” She said, “Yeah, but no sausage or bacon.” I said, “Great, I didn’t want that anyway. I wanted a bagel with cream cheese.” So, I ordered just that. The female (who had a hole in her shirt – which just looked messy though was a foreshadow of my experience) went to the back to get the bagel I ordered, coughed, and came back with the bagel. (I hope I don’t get sick!) As she sawed open the bagel (a sure sign this would not be fresh), the male pulled out the paper to wrap the bagel (this would be his only role in the transaction besides getting out the cream cheese). Seemed like just one person working would suffice, but at the off chance it got busy for lunch, maybe two were necessary. Anyway, the female tossed the bagel in what I thought was the toaster, but after biting into the cold stale bagel, I’m not sure that was a toaster. I guess I should have requested “double toasted”. As the fly flew around the meats, cheeses and condiments, I hoped the cream cheese would come from somewhere with a lid. Thankfully, the male pulled it from the fridge. My mind accepted the cream cheeses were likely sitting out as well prior to my arrival, but I decided to trick my brain that flies didn’t have access to the cream cheese. I had debated to just walk out from the get go as soon as I saw the flies, but against my better judgement, I stayed. This is the second time I have seen flies inside. The first was because the doors were open as it was nice outside (maybe a year or so ago), but this time, no doors were open. There should not be flies ESPECIALLY when there is food out without covers. Overall, I stand by my 1 star review. Between the unfriendly service, the flies and the stale bagel, I can confidently say that I will not be back. I’m also baffled at the 4.7 star average of this place. I don’t normally write crappy reviews, but there was not one positive thing that came from this experience. The only upside was I paid $4.35 for my bagel and cream cheese (which also seems high, but with raising prices, I get it).
