From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. We felt uncomfortable almost immediately, as if we were an inconvenience rather than customers. The attitude throughout our visit came across as “why are you here and when are you leaving?”
The prices were high for what was offered. While the salads were delicious, they were $21 for a very small portion, and I even had to ask for bread (which was delicious)
To make matters worse, a gentleman dressed in a suit approached us and asked us to give up one of our tables and we felt more comfortable to leave. We were a party of three sitting at two small two-person tables, and this interaction felt rude and embarrassing.
In addition, the gentleman in the suit was paying particular attention to a couple that was having several tastings of wine and food. Perhaps they were hosting a food critic and perhaps we did not support the vibe they were trying to achieve. How sad and disappointing, we drove an hour and a half to dine at this cafe because of the Google reviews.
While the café itself is beautiful and the food is good, the unwelcoming service and disproportionate pricing made this an experience I would not choose to repeat.
The staff here is always warm and welcoming, the kind of place where you’re greeted like a regular—even if it’s your first time. Ingredients are top-notch: fresh, natural, locally sourced, and plated with care. The seasonal menu keeps things exciting, and the space itself is spotless. Whether I’m grabbing takeout or dining in for lunch, I know my meal will be done right.
I admire their daily rotating options. Yesterday I saw pumpkin Whoopie pies on the menu. It’s usually a cookie and some sort of a scrumptious cake or tart. They truly make lunchtime a delight.
