I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times. & Everytime, I have a great experience. The food is fresh, & made with care. I’m very picky when it comes to seafood, & fish, they’re using fresh, never frozen. Because of how good the food is, it’s expanded the list of things I will try ! The Spicy Tuna roll, & Crazy Roll are 10/10 , + I always enjoy their Summer rolls ! Not to mention, the prices are unmatched compared to other sushi restaurants in the area , very affordable!
Now I won’t go to other sushi places when I’m in the area.
If you’re contemplating coming here, take the chance & try something new, you won’t regret it !

Great sushi bar, their eel is amazing! Had the sushi Yama roll, has both salmon and eel in it, definitely recommend. Will be coming back! Sake was good as well.

We were waiting forever for our order to come, with plenty of seating and having only 3 tables occupied… A server forgot to bring the drink and had to be reminded … Everything was sooooo slow…. Well, maybe it was a lot of online/takeout orders? Anyways: the sushi is good there! Was worth to wait

The food here is consistent but the service is lacking. Servers aren’t the friendliest and it’s quite unappealing to eat somewhere where they don’t smile often. Lighting is very dim and the decor is simple.

Really solid sushi in Boynton Beach. Way too many choices on the menu but all the rolls we had were pretty damn good. Would definitely go back.

This is my first time visiting this place, and I want to leave my review. During lunchtime, only three tables were occupied, so I didn’t have to wait. I deducted one star for the staff’s hospitality and another star for the overly sweet ramen soup.

I liked that they provide a fork along with chopsticks in case someone doesn’t know how to use chopsticks. Also, the rolls I ordered came in sets of 10 pieces, which was great.

The menu is large, but I really miss having photos/video of the dishes here in Florida (If needed, you can contact me, and I’ll take beautiful pictures for you!)

Sushi Yama in Boynton Beach is a true gem for sushi lovers. Tucked just off Military Trail, it’s conveniently located and rarely has a wait long enough to be bothersome — a major plus when you’re craving fresh, quality sushi without the usual crowd stress.

We always opt to sit at the sushi bar, which is not just a meal, but an experience. The head chef is outstanding — friendly, professional, and incredibly skilled. He consistently offers spot-on recommendations and prepares everything right in front of you with precision and care. Watching the artistry behind each roll adds an extra layer of appreciation to the meal, and the personal interaction makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit.

The sushi itself? Always fresh, beautifully presented, and flavorful. From classic rolls to more inventive options, every bite is satisfying. And if you’re not in the mood for sushi, their menu has something for everyone. The bento boxes are generous and well-balanced, the sushi boats are perfect for sharing, and their noodle dishes are hearty and comforting.

We’ve been to Japan many times, so our standards for sushi are quite high and that’s the only reason we’d say it’s just shy of a five-star experience. That said, for local Florida sushi, this place is easily among the best.

Sushi Yama delivers consistent quality and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended, especially if you can snag a seat at the bar.

Excellent addition to the west Boynton Beach dining options, and by far the best Asian food.
We ate at the sushi bar, were gifted a delicious small plate of chopped raw fish over pickled vegetables.
We had excellent service, and watched the beautiful sushi platters being put together.
It was a Monday night and by 7pm had filled up about 1/2-3/4 of the tables.
They have only been open about 2 months, and clearly the word has gone out that it’s a solid dining experience.
I recommend the sushi, which was very tasty.
The udon noodles were mediocre, the pork pieces were a bit tough and the sauce was a bit too sweet for me.
There’s a lot more on the extensive menu, and we are looking forward to eating our way thru it.

I have been wanting to try this place since they opened and finally had time to stop in for lunch today. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The decor is very nice and all of the staff were amazingly friendly and welcoming. I sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed watching the chefs make their creations which was pretty cool. While waiting, one of the sushi chefs gave me a small bowl with raw tuna and shaved veggies on the house which was a really nice surprise. The menu selection is extensive which I loved. I ordered the salmon spring rolls (never had them before) as the appetizer which also came with a side of seaweed salad and they were absolutely delicious! For the main, I ordered the crunch roll (without the aioli as I don’t eat dairy) and it was huge! And delicious I couldn’t eat it all so took some home. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience and will recommend to my foodie friends and will definitely return.

We were craving sushi so we tried this place for lunch. The menu is pretty big. Lot of diversity in their menu besides sushi. There is some Thai and Vietnamese food also. Everything we ordered tasted good. I will definitely come back to try more dish.
