The food here is so goooood! Anita is so nice and came to chat. She sees me everyday on my walk to the office. She showed me that she has opened up another restaurant up on Acushnet Avenue. As for this location soft music played in the backgroung and the dining was cool on a hot day. Hot fresh pupasa which were stuffed with frijol y queso (×3) only took about 8 minutes from the time I ordered.

I decided to grab food for dinner and lunch for the next day. One of the items I purchased was a beef soup. Upon heating up the soup I noticed that the meat consisted of all fat on a bone. The vegetables were not cooked such as the carrots and the potatoes. The price that they’re charging for soup that is not cooked properly is disappointing to say the least. As a native of New Bedford I believe in supporting local businesses, however when a business doesn’t care enough about the quality of the food that they’re about to sell to someone I have a huge problem with that. That is not community that is greed! You have lost a potential customer who loves to frequent busineses that I like. After contacting the restaurant to explain my disappointment I was told verbatim we’ve been here for nine years and we have never had anyone complain, that was not an answer to provide what would’ve been the polite thing to say is to retain a patron is maybe would you like us to make you another soup? I was never looking for a refund especially in this downfall economy that we’re living in. My advice to this restaurant is to do better unfortunately I will not return there again.

WWoweeewoW! Beef Birria Tacos with Cilantro sauce /for dipping of course. 10 OF 10! Melted cheese… seasoned beef!! I can’t front tho… it was just as good as the Brillia Tacos I had in Worcester. I gotta have some more of the Brillia Tacos at other spots to see if there really is a difference, or if they all basically have the same taste!

Was a bit of a language barrier when it came to me trying to speak Spanish . No seriously tho… the woman who took my order seemed nice, but didn’t know what I wanted. I had to go to the menu on my phone and point to what I wanted!

People of New Bedford, you have a good one here!!

Have gone there twice and have received the same excellent service. I had the chicharron con queso pupusa(pork and cheese pupusa made with cornmeal) and it’s delicious. Prior to this visit i had white rice with the fried chicken and it was great. The wait time is fast. The owner is a sweet woman! Will update as soon as i try other dishes.

I ordered the food takeout so I’m always alittle concerned of how the food is going to carry but when I tell you this is in the top 5 of some of the best food I’ve ever had, I am absolutely not lying to you. I’ve traveled and lived all over the world and this is hands down the best carne asada I’ve ever had! I’m so glad I found this place by chance and theyre not far from my house! what a hidden little gem! thank you to all of the staff you guys are amazing!

Anita’s serves the best pupusas in town! From the first bite, you can taste the authenticity and love put into each one. The flavors are rich, the fillings are generous, and the texture is perfect. If you’re a pupusa fan, this is a must-visit spot! #AnitasPupusas #DeliciousEats #AuthenticFlavors

Nice small place. I don’t get why people use this huge dried out fried scallion to “decorate” the plate but the food tasted good and portion size was good too. Too bad the only thing hot in the plate was the meat. I would still go back for the taste although it was a little pricey. 19$

Small, no frills, family owned Mexican/Guatamalan/Salvadorian restaurant, place has been around for 4 yrs but for some reason i didnt discover it til yesterday (i dont think they have a sign) so decided to try it for dinner tonight.
Got 2 orders of birria tacos, the consumé is perfect, you get 3 fat tacos stuffed with shredded beef soaked in delicious juices and lots of cheese. I will say they were a little messy but all 3 held up the whole way thru, even when dipping.
Also got 1 bean & cheese and 1 pork papusa, the owner was nice enough to let me try two kinds by ordering one each, usually an order comes with 3 i believe. The corn dough is home made and the filling inside was exactly what youd expect from a really good papusa, perfectly seasoned pork, slightly salty cheese & refried beans. I took the liberty of dipping it in the consumé, thats the move for sure.
Lastly, i got a sope de pastor, normally i get chicken but tried the pork and it was the right choice. The sope wasnt overly greasy like they sometimes can be and was loaded with el pastor, sour cream, cojita cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and cilantro. Smeared some of the spicy green sauce they gave me and let me tell you what, i think we just found our new go to spot for Latin/Hispanic food.
Dont sleep on this place, great people, great service, quick & clean

Love the food. Wanted something different from the usual. I got Pastor tacos. Simple and delicious. Meat, onions, cilantro, with a lime. Got a plate of papusas to share and they were so hot, gooey, and flavorful. Seasoned to perfection. The Pastor meat was also seasoned perfectly. My wife got birria tacos as she’s never tried them before. I have. The meat was tender and juicy. The juice was great.
