Located in downtown Waverly and established in 2023 by popular bar owner, David Grawe, Frederick’s Sips N Eats is serving up American cuisine with a twist. Watch the big game with friends, dine in with family, or rent our loft for your next event. Whatever your need, let Frederick’s be the place you gather. Currently, Frederick’s is offering a temporary menu, consisting of mainly sandwiches and burgers with some special items such as shrimp or chicken tacos. We were in Waverly for a football game and wanted to grab something to eat afterwards. Always a big fan of a locally owned company. The location was perfect – in the heart of the town. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. I loved the art, the vibe, etc. The reason I’m giving it a four is because the food was just average. There was a lot of variety though so I appreciate that. They definitely could elevate it a bit. Also liked the TVs so we could watch sporting events. I think the town of Waverly is lucky to have this restaurant and I would try again!

Several really good restaurants in town- but this is our favorite in Waverly.
Onion rings and buffalo wings are amazing and won’t find better anywhere. Not just in town, not just in the state-but anywhere. Sirloin melt is something you’ll wish you never tried, because you won’t be able to have one anywhere else without comparing it to this.
Never have had a bit of remorse over any item we’ve ordered.
There can sometimes be a bit of a wait on exceptionally busy days / times. That’s to be expected with any establishment- but typically service is excellent.
Pride in what they offer is clearly important to them based on the consistently superior quality.
If you can only visit one place in town- this is the one you want.

I rarely think that a restaurant is perfect, however this place truly is! They were able to handle a large event in the loft for us with professionalism, helpfulness, and kindness. My guests were impressed with the food and service! The entire staff is amazing and made a stressful day way easier! I used the loft space as a reception area for my wedding and everything was absolutely perfect. I have also dined here in a small party and I would say the same things about that experience too. The food is delicious and I couldn’t say a single negative thing. Personally recommend the cookie skillet or the salad!

The black bean burger was good. The hand cut fries were AMAZING. We ended up ordering more because they were so good. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. The only problem for me was the cool draft the closer you are to the front door when it’s cold outside. Other than that, I highly recommend this place. This place is not super great for non-meat eaters, but that wasn’t surprising.

First time at Fredericks and wasn’t impressed. The atmosphere was nice. Service was decent. Took a while for her to come to our table and the person who sat us got our drinks. In all honesty the menu is terrible for people with any eye issues. If you need readers you better have them with you or a phone to take pics and zoom in. I’m guessing the font size is 9. I ordered the Philly with out onions, cole slaw and au jus. My friend ordered the French dip with fries and side or ranch.
The food was brought in a reasonable amount of time and was hot. The coleslaw is definitely not the creamy sweet. I took one bite and that was enough for me. The Philly was okay but nothing seasoned or anything. When we left I asked my friend from out of town their thoughts and he stated he wouldnt travel any amount of distance for it.
Nothing that stood out enough for me to come back but maybe someone else’s cup of tea.

In town with family for a funeral, and walked over after a long day. They were very accommodating, and our waitress was amazing. It wasn’t busy, so we decided to let our kids sit at their own table next to us. She was so good with them and patient. She made it a fun experience! Food was great ! Will be back next time were in town!
