This was our first time here. We ordered: tiramasu cappuccino.
Tacos: carne guisada, potato and egg, chorizo and papa, bean and cheese, and beef fajita with guacamole.
Their cappuccino is nice and smooth. It isn’t strong or overpowering. It isn’t sweet. It was great for my hubby but for me, I like a stronger coffee flavor. Also it wasn’t hot it was actually very cool temperature.
The flour tortillas are soft, fresh, and delicious. Their potato and egg, bean and cheese taste great. The potatoes were cooked just right. I had to add salt and pepper to the potato and egg sine there wasn’t any in the taco.
The carne guisada sauce is watery. It didn’t have much flavor. The meat for both the carne guisada and beef fajita were really tough and chewy. The fajita had no flavor even though it came with green bell pepper and onions. Although if the meat was tender then that would have made the tacos enjoyable.
I did not like the taste of the chorizo they use.
The added guacamole is avocado slices and not guacamole.
Overall it was a pleasant experience. I’m guessing they might be better known for their waffles.
You’ll see the Wildflower Cafe. At Wildflower you have a wide range of items to choose from you’ll enjoy the desserts as well. They have had a perfect score with the food safety handling and I highly recommend that you go by and see for yourselves that it is indeed a staple in the Westside of San Antonio.
The oatmeal was not cooked, even if it was steel cut oats they were hard in milk and I just could not chew them. Left them in the milk, the Nutella crepes were very good. My kids loved the fresh tortillas.
The prices are very confusing.
For example a bigger plate with five eggs and five sausage links etc was 12.99
But if you ordered plain crepes they charge you the same price as the crepes with all the filling and stuff.
Their service was not great the lady seemed to really be busy. And I asked for cinnamon multiple times and was ignored until my husband asked for it. They did take the oatmeal off my order due to it not being cooked. But overall because it is a cute little place. That I hope gets more business and maybe changes their menu, to the way they want things to be served, and not to where you think they can add and change it to their coffees.
10/10 recommend the crepes.
Not the Barbacoa, more fat than meat.
Well give it a try and let me know what you think.
They do have amazing healthy choices. However I did let the beautiful manager I think, named Susanna let know of the issues I was having. She took off the thing and fixed it so for that I edited the service from one star to three. they are a family owned business and having the compassion to actually fix those issues that come out of their pocket I believe is a great sense of morals. So for that I change their rating. For 5 of us it was 40.00
Not including tip.
