Casa Del Sole is a hidden gem! Everything was very good. I got the margarita pizza. It was good but I was a tad disappointed that it was mostly sauce. I wish there had been a bit more cheese. I had heard great reviews about this place and you could smell the food a block down, but other than that everything else was good. I got the meatballs and they were delicious. I’d recommend this place it was great!

This is a great little pizza shop! They definitely have super high quality ingredients and have been a staple in the local community (over 30 years, and I believe the oldest in Aspinwall). The local area is also nice to walk through. Today, I tried out the plain cheese calzone.
This was a fantastic calzone. The size was pretty good for a regular and the price wasn’t too expensive ($13). But, it was more so the quality that stood out. The dough is quite tasty, and there is a good balance of dough to cheese in the calzone. I like how much butter and parm they put on top of and around the calzone. The cheese inside was also very good. This is quite heavy on ricotta, which I enjoy. Definitely high quality and creamy ricotta cheese. Only down side of the calzone was the sauce. It was served in a somewhat small dipping cu and it was quite watery (no tomato chunks, but that’s a personal preference).
I must also add: the employee on the phone was one of the nicest employees I’ve interacted with in a long time. Very friendly, doesn’t upsell, answers all questions clearly, A+ for that guy. All in all, a great place to get pizza I’m sure and definitely a great calzone spot. Keep in mind there are no desserts though.

We had ordered the Godfather pizza and white sauce pizza. Oh my God, we love both of them, the thin crush, the year, and the sauce they put is correct. Is Amazing, and we all love it. In The Godfather Pizza, they loaded it with meats and this is our first time trying pizza topping with a French fry. It looks strange but the taste is good.

Casa Del Sole uses fresh ingredients and their house and ranch dressing are made in house. These are a few of the things that get me excited when looking for better quality pizza.

I’m so upset that I didn’t find this place sooner. Wonder pizza and salad!!! Somehow their pizza is magically not greasy at all, and their toppings and salad portion are so generous. I still can’t make up my mind whether I liked the salad or pizza more because they were both fantastic. I think I have found my new favorite pizza place and Casa del Sole, you have found a new regular. Thank you!!
