I found this Guthrie’s location to be superbly clean. Before placing my order, I visited the restroom and was SHOCKED to find the toilet paper folded and creased as if I were in a hotel. I then found their condiments neatly organized – plainly the employees care about their presentation.

Food was excellent- served piping hot and crispy. My toast was buttery with just a hint of garlic, and the sweet tea is the best you can get anywhere.

The employees were attentive, bustling around and checking on customers in between their tasks.

Great experience!

Writing a review for a friend- she stated the customer service was bad, the lady taking orders was rude. They charge $1 for a 2oz cup of ranch. As you can see in the picture the ranch is half full so $1 for one ounce of ranch- ridiculous. One of the tenders was the size of a finger and looked like it was cut in half. They’re overpriced for the food and service. Once again, posting for a friend bc she doesn’t want to be berated.

I drove a couple from Atlanta to Auburn Alabama. They said that Guthries was good so I gave it a shot. The tenders were cooked pretty good they didn’t give me a fork so I improvised. The Texas toast was pretty good …they didn’t give me a lot of fries and the Guthries Sauce was decent and the Sweet tea is to die for. I would definitely eat there again when I have time to sit and enjoy

Best chicken fingers in town. Porch to eat with your pup. Outdoor ordering so no issue taking the dog in to order! Been my fav for 35 years!

Don’t eat here and walk across the street to go to the bank, you will get booted and they will not be helpful. Ordered food at 2:03, went across the street to chase bank around 2:15-220 pm to deposit 1 check, and was back before 230. $20 of food gets maybe 15 minutes of un-harassed patronage. Parking lot was empty, there wasn’t an immediate need for parking, just unadulterated greed & kickbacks between auburn express and Guthrie’s downtown.

Not only is the service poor but we had to walk across the street (for approximately 10 minutes) after and came back to my vehicle gone. Just be aware that they don’t care, even if you have to run across the street for a minute. As soon as they see you leave, they will call the tow truck. $125.00 fee.

I overall enjoyed my visit but there is room for improvement that Guthrie’s can make.

The pros:
The atmosphere and service were superb. It is always a pleasant suprise to find a clean restaurant and friendly staff that are available and eager to answer any questions or concerns. The cole slaw was fantastic (which is honestly hard to find) the crinkle cut french fries were crispy no at all soggy, and the toast is perhaps the most flavorful and buttery out of any fried chicken tender establishment.

The cons:
The chicken suffers from the same problem as Cane’s; it is not at all seasoned and the seasoning is all in the sauce. Honestly, this was incredibly disappointing and it can be fixed by tossing the chicken into some spices after frying. The condiment list is also vastly lacking as there are only 3 choixes to choose from. Add some malt vinegar to the list and some different sauces for the patrons to try to create a nice variety.

Overall, I think it is worth a try but there are some improvements that the franchise can make to make the dining experience better.

Used to be very good, but they have recently started cutting their fingers in half and raised the prices to complement it. The “fingers” are now the size of chicken nuggets. They also often half fill the sauce containers and short you on the fries. Go to Foosackly’s instead.

We waited 10 minuets for our food in the drive thru. The lady taking our order was just incompetent and did not even speak to us when she finally handed the food after the wait. Uses to be efficient but it’s obviously gone downhill.

Restaurant was very convenient and clean. The chicken tenders were however the smallest I have ever had at a Guthrie’s.
