This place is absolutely magical! I’m so grateful we stopped spontaneously today, after curiously passing by a couple times prior. The grounds are breathtaking and worthy of spending whatever time you can afford to enjoying the scenery and the animals. The service is exceptional, and the food is fantastic. Down home comfort food! The dining room has just as much to look at and appreciate! Surprisingly, the food was very reasonable for everything you get – quality, portion & service! We can’t wait to go back!

The outside was nicely decorated for fall and I loved the animals running in the parking lot. The food was very good starting with the hush puppies and greens all the way through our steaks and potatoes and ending with free homemade ice cream and free treats as we checked out. Not sure where to begin. About 8 of my family members were in town for a family reunion and decide to meet up at Cowboy Jim’s for dinner. We arrived at 6pm, reservations were at 6:15. We were seated 20 minutes later, stopped a server after about 20 more minutes to see who our waitress was. Finally had orders taken, received drinks again another 20 + minutes later. Finally got our appetizers which were fried pickles literally floating in grease!!! Food arrived another 30 minutes later again, floating in grease, salty and very bland. Do not waste your time with this place! Extremely disappointed is an understatement!!!

I really enjoyed this place. The service was great. They made sure we had everything we needed and brought our food out fairly quick and it was delicious. I ordered a steak rare and it was perfect and huge I have absolutely no complaints. Hope to go again soon actually.

We arrived and the place was busy, great atmosphere at first, waited for over an hour to get seated, a couple of other were seated before us after arriving after us.
By the time we were seated, the great atmosphere was gone, it was like everything closed up and forgot about the rest of the customer who were just seated.
Our food was cold and uncooked, nothing was right. Poor customer service, it was as if we and others weren’t even there.
