Even when I order takeout, the quality holds up really well and everything is packaged nicely. It’s one of my go‑to spots whenever I’m craving pho.
Definitely one of the best pho places around the area. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid, comforting bowl of pho.
What really impressed me was how he explained the different sauces and even showed me the proper way to enjoy the dish so I could get the full experience. Since I’d never tried it before, I really appreciated the extra care. He checked in with me throughout my meal and made sure I was comfortable.
On top of the amazing service, the food was delicious and the environment was great.
My husband and I ordered a milk tea and a Vietnamese coffee. He ordered a bowl of pho and I got the grilled beef bento box. My friend and her his husband ordered a matcha drink, the ox tail pho and the grilled chicken bento box. The milk tea I had was not bad at all. I like it. The tea base seems a bit different but it is more milk flavored, so the tea base was not that strong. Those that prefer stronger tea base might not like it as much. The grilled beef bento box was mediocre. The grilled beef was definitely a bit too dry and hard compared to the pork my friend ordered. The summer roll was overall small wrapped, but I guess because it’s part of a bento box and not a full appetizer. Not sure on that since we didn’t order a summer roll appetizer to compare. My husband said his pho soup base was average. The soup is hot but not enough flavoring compared to the many Vietnamese restaurants we have been to. Considering the area and neighborhood we were in, I guess the pho was already pretty good, just not the best we’ve had. All 4 of us thinks it’s ok but will we come back to try other food? Probably not.
PS: they do have BYOB although it’s not mentioned anywhere explicitly!
The menu does not state anywhere that selecting tofu for the grilled meat will automatically convert the entire platter to vegetarian, including the sides. There was no indication that my main dish choice would affect every item in the platter.
When I called to clarify, the entire conversation felt like I was being told that I should have known tofu would automatically mean the whole platter becomes vegetarian. The explanation given was that this system is more convenient for vegetarians and people with allergies. I respect that approach, but I am not an employee and there is nothing on the menu explaining that the entire platter would be changed. I was simply told that next time I need to leave a note if I do not want everything switched to vegetarian.
The call lasted over fifteen minutes and felt more like being educated on their internal rule rather than having my concern acknowledged. I understand that restaurants are busy during peak hours, but customers should not be expected to guess ordering policies that are not clearly stated.
In the end, they offered compensation only if I picked up spring rolls myself or received one free on a future order. The issue is not just the substitution itself, but the communication experience. It was frustrating to feel blamed for something that was never clearly disclosed, and being asked to return and spend money again for compensation does not feel like a fair resolution.
Oh, and great vegan options too!
