Mixed reviews on the food. Casual place with what looked to be a fair number of locals coming in after we arrived around 545 on a Sunday. They handled small children well and appeared to be dog friendly at the outside seating. Happy hour (till 6) worked to our advantage with buck a shuck oysters (although a little small). Fried oysters were good, the slaw was very good, but the shrimp and grits were soupy and overly salted. The hush puppies had little flavor. The burger was ordinary and light on the cheese. The service was good for us but the place was not busy until we were leaving.

Absolutely no. Just don’t go here. We were originally going to go to Wolf Island but they were closed for a private event. We walked across to eat here. We entered and waited at the hostess stand with another couple waiting to be spoken to. We waited for maybe five minutes with servers walking around. Then, a waitress came up to the hostess stand, didn’t say a WORD to any of us, didn’t even acknowledge we were there, she grabbed something and walked away. Then it took about ten minutes for anyone to even greet us at our table and get our order. We ordered our food and probably waited for at least 40 minutes. They gave us all our food except my food. It took about another ten minutes to get my food. The food was alright. Nothing to come back for. The server only checked on us one time. Absolutely no drink menu with a full bar? I don’t understand. And my margarita was trash. While we were waiting I took my son to look at the fish tank. All of a sudden a waitress was raising her voice at a customer, saying “Now one thing you won’t do is yell at me in here!!!.” I didn’t hear any yelling until she did, but I don’t know if she was at fault or the customer was but it was uncomfortable to say the least. Idk man something was “off” about this place. The vibe was….weird. Staff looked MISERABLE. I honestly couldn’t wait to get out of there. Instead, go to my favorite on the island or in Brunswick…Mr. Shucks! We definitely won’t ever come here again, or recommend it to anyone. Oh and also……THWG!

This restaurant is very mediocre to poor. The food is nothing special, and even some of the food like the oysters Rockefeller were just not appetizing. The atmosphere is pretty bland and the service was very slow. The prices are not bad, so I guess the food is just what you should expect for that price. Not the worst in the world but I wouldn’t recommend or go back.

Parmesean oysters are the bomb. I was pleasantly surprised as I love Oyster Rockefeller. Trust me, you will love them.

My wife’s favorite place to eat. The owner, Brad is a really nice guy and definitely one of the best bartenders on the Island. The food is top notch, and the prices are reasonable.

Fresh… amazing food. We came in early afternoon for my birthday last week. We had my toddler with us who loved watching the fish tank. They even fed the fish so my toddler can watch.
Quality, fresh ingredients , great drinks and very attentive staff. Thank you front and back of the house for keeping it amazing.

Their fried flounder never disappoints. It’s not a menu item but you can order it most days.

Catch 228 is one of my favorites to eat really good Georgia wild shrimp; and oysters. They get oysters from up and down the east coast and gulf. The bar is where the action is. Friendly folks. Great local owners. I am not a “shrimp and grits” fan but Catch 228 recipe is the best I’ve ever had. Roasted Corn, Jalapeño grits; delicious Georgia shrimp in a sausage cream gravy. With scallions and bacon on top. I highly recommend.

Thoroughly disappointed with my experience here. I should have known to follow my gut and just leave upon my entrance into the restaurant. Brandon, the host, was reluctant to even say hello to us and unfortunately ended up being our waiter. We ordered sweet tea which I’m 90% certain was made with toilet water. We requested something different and it took 20 minutes just to get a different drink. Our appetizer, seafood dip, arrived with bread so hard you would have had to cut it with a chainsaw. You could look at it and see that it was nearly burnt which makes me wonder why he even brought it to the table to begin with. The waiter never even apologized or offered us something different. He simply removed it from the table & disappeared for an additional 20 minutes without checking on us. At this point, I’m so aggravated & disgusted with the service I want to leave but we had already ordered our entrees. When it arrived it too tasted suspicious. We just paid for the entrees & left. What started out as a beautiful and fun day on the island was ruined by this horrible dining experience.

Please don’t eat here. Beer recommendation was not good, the fish dip app came out after the food and was just a block of cheese melted w some fish, hardened right up so we couldn’t eat it. Ordered the boil, then was told they’re out of sausage and the crab was extra. Idk it didn’t hit for us and I had high hopes
