We love to stop at little roadside cafe’s and Chester Country Cafe did not disappoint! The hand-cut homestyle fries were delicious and the food came out very quickly. This is the perfect place to come if you’re staying at Stonewind Retreat!!

We’ll be back next time for breakfast!!

I have to say that there is no way i would come back here, there were 2 locals having breakfast and my husband and I, the owner was hateful, I did everything I could to make conversation and got a one or 2 word response back. We have friends that live in the area and when I brought them up, we still got no spark. The coffee was ok, the biscuits were thin and over cooked so you needed a knife to cut them, the gravy was thin, the bacon was so cooked it was crunchy. I guess the eggs were ok. While we were eating 3 people came in, again no greeting so they were asking us if they just seat themselves. I pointed out the menu board. Orders were taken at the counter when you enter. Drive the extra miles to Alma or Fayeteville and get a much better dining experience, you will thank me…unless you’re a man thats local.

Lady that took our order was rude. Was belittling to her staff. Had to go get creamer at a table if we wanted more. Sugar for coffee was empty. Was talking about the business down the street which was within earshot and then a disabled lady asked to use the restroom and she told them to go across the street to the farmers market. All within 20 minutes of being there. I can see why there was no one there. That place used to be crowded….sad.

Stopped here for breakfast while riding the Trans America Trail. I love little country cafes and this one is a hidden gem. My breakfast was top notch and so was the coffee.

Gave one star bc I’m forced to give something, didn’t even eat here we were on a road trip and our disabled elderly aunt needed to make a bowl movement, they turned us away and sent us to the farmers market. I understand it’s the establishments choice not to let ppl who aren’t a customer use the restroom, if it were I myself I wouldn’t have minded at all but this was my elderly disabled aunt!! All I’m saying is you’d think a small town restaurant would have a little more decency and respect for the elderly. Seems everywhere is getting lost in these times…..I hope you guys do better in the future!!

Great food. I really wanted to leave a great review based on the food. Not very friendly, not super welcoming, asks for a tip while ordering. I was a little afraid to ask for a napkin. Will order to go next time since it felt really awkward.

Met a friend here for lunch because it was halfway for both of us and matched our plans for later. Walking up we were unsure but gave it a chance anyway. Once inside we were happy we did! The smell of the food was amazing and the people were very friendly. We arrived just as they changed over from breakfast to lunch so they allowed us a choice of either side of the menu. She had the burger and I had the best Phili Sandwich I’ve ever experienced. It was a nice laid back atmosphere and clear they were still making renovations that were focus on the interior and making their way to the outside. I highly encourage everyone to give this diamond in the rough an try! I will happily make the drive from Fort Smith for this again.
