Amazing food, amazing staff, and an overall excellent dining experience. Highly recommend!
I never write reviews… like, ever. But Winston, Alejandra, and the entire team at Sukai made my wife and I feel so incredibly special that I had to make an exception.
We left the kids with the in-laws for a rare date night and showed up without reservations, not knowing what to expect. We were greeted by the manager, Winston, who could tell we were excited but a little unsure. Before the restaurant even opened for dinner, he personally gave us a tour of the stunning space and then led us to what truly felt like the best seat in the house. That kind of above-and-beyond hospitality set the tone for the entire evening.
Our server Alejandra (Alex) was an absolute gem warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive without hovering. She gave spot-on recommendations, walked us through the menu, and every recommendation was perfection. The food was outstanding, but it was the service that elevated everything to another level.
After dinner we went back to the host stand to thank Winston again and tell him how amazing the atmosphere and staff were. We told him he should be incredibly proud of the culture he’s created. In the most humble way, he immediately gave credit to his team and pointed out his manager who was on the floor helping wherever needed. That kind of leadership and character speaks volumes.
Sukai isn’t just a restaurant it’s an experience. If you’re anywhere near Table Mountain Casino, do yourself a favor and dine here. Ask for Alejandra, say hi to Winston, and prepare to be treated like royalty.
Thank you for making our kid-free night one we’ll never forget! We’ll be back soon with reservations this time!
Villaseñor Family
1. We had a 6:30 PM reservation but weren’t seated until 7:30 PM. An hour delay with no clear communication or updates.
2. The waitress was friendly but difficult to hear due to high ambient noise levels.
3. Some dishes, like the fried rice was lukewarm, possibly due to airflow from the exhaust vents.
4. The wok lobster/shrimp combo was served chopped up in the shell, making it extremely difficult to eat with only a fork provided (no crackers or picks). We sent it back as a result. The menu should note if items are served in-shell, or appropriate tools should be provided.
5. As for the bill, we were informed the payment system was down and we could only pay in cash. As a large company (part of a casino resort), this felt unacceptable. Modern venues should have reliable backups for card payments. We ended up paying cash which we fortunately had otherwise we would’ve incurred ATM withdrawal fees.
These issues left us feeling the service was disorganized despite the nice staff and setting. With better reservation management, noise control, dish preparation details, and reliable payment systems, it could be a great experience. I might try again in the future but I can’t recommend it currently.
We were able to get drinks while waiting and enjoy the balcony view – which was nice. But it really would have been great if the hibachi table had been available to us closer to the reservation time.
Despite that, we had a great time at dinner. The chef was super charming, funny, but most important talented and made sure to prepare everyone’s food with their dietary requirements and food preferences in mind – all while making delicious food prepared food us table side!
This was the first time that immediately after eating, we also had the Hibachi Chef do a fire dance! Great food, freshly prepared- I just hoped for a little more with the service. It was a busy Friday night – but maybe there should be more staff for tables to move more smoothly.
