These past few weeks I’ve been to a couple sonics in different locations and got their smashburger. And it was okay. but I stopped here today and had nothing but the best experience and my food was super fresh my order was correct and it tasted very pleasant well done.

Completely would have given 5 stars but when a person orders a cherry limeade and there is no cherries or Limes in the drink its complete blasphemy and you all should be ashamed I tell you. The Cherries are literally the only reason I order the dang drink. Get your stuff together and make sure they all have the garnishes. Stop being cheap and charging so much.

I placed an order through the app yesterday (5/15/25 around 6:50pm) that totaled $27. Using the app I was able to get a free item and points. It was pretty busy so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and give them time until I realized I had been waiting for around 20 minutes. I checked the app and it said order was completed. By this time my two small children were really upset because this was supposed to be our dinner. I pushed the button on my stall to check on my order because the app said it was completed and my bank account was charged. The girl who answered was SO RUDE. I asked her if she happened to know if she had a ticket for my stall and she replied that she couldn’t see my stall number until an order was placed or something so I told her my stall number and asked her to check. She proceeded to audibly sigh and say, “NOPE. I don’t have anything. Anything else?” In what I interpreted as a condescending tone but I could be wrong. I explained that I ordered through the app and it says completed and she just rudely repeated she doesn’t have my order and told me she doesn’t know what to tell me. I informed her that I was charged and I’ve been waiting for 20 minutes with two very hangry small kids. She told me to call the number on the app (which there isn’t one? I had to scour the corporate website for customer service). She ended with, “Anything else? You can reorder.” As if I was the one being rude. I then had to re order my food and not get the free item or points and it was more expensive. Then I had to pay AGAIN! When my order was brought by Emily I asked to speak to a manager and told her the issue. Emily immediately apologized and went to get the manager. Emily came back out and informed me the manager was too busy to address my issue. She let me know the manager refunded my mobile app order, that someone must have accidentally clicked complete on THEIR end. Most of my work experience is in restaurants so I am never rude to service industry workers, and I wasn’t in this situation. I had to wait at Sonic for almost 35 minutes for NO reason and I am disappointed that whoever answered the button from my stall was incredibly rude, the manager didn’t come talk to me, and to top it off, my kids were so upset. It wasn’t an easy 45 minutes. I tried to call a couple of times yesterday after this happened as I had to get my kids home to eat and the manager didn’t even offer to have me wait to speak to them. The phone just rang and rang. $27 is a lot to spend on fast food to have an employee so quickly not even try to fix it. I have saved all of the receipts if a manager would like to get in contact with me.

I visited today and had a disappointing experience. I placed a mobile order and even though I added ranch to my order, they still forgot to add it. Ok simple mistake. So I pressed the red button to ask for some. After waiting for several minutes (mind you, I already have my food and it’s getting cold), still no answer. I decide to go through the drive thru. At the speaker they say sure no problem pull forward. 4 cars in front of me in the drive thru and the car 2 ahead of me gets their drinks brought out to them. I think, what about my ranch? But maybe they’re busy. So I wait for all of these cars to get their food and finally make my way to the window just to find the employees goofing off and playing with each other inside. All I needed was ranch. Had someone just opened the window when I pulled up, I could’ve been on my way already. Waited another couple minutes until a man comes to the window and says that they’re still working on my food. I told him I had a mobile order and all I needed was some ranch. He then COUGHS on his hand, then uses the same hand to grab the ranch and hand it to me. Disgusting. And now my food is cold. Very disappointed.

We ordered a snack off DoorDash. Our DoorDasher called and stated he went to pick up the order, but it had already been picked up by someone else. We called Sonic to see if we could resolve the issue and the young girl on the phone quickly dismissed us stating they did nothing wrong. She didn’t even give us a chance to ask if there was anything they could do before she hung up the phone. Luckily DoorDash had quick and efficient customer service and let us cancel our order with a full refund. I certainly don’t expect the customer to always be right, but when a conversation is started with hostility when we simple question is asked, it’s a very disappointing experience.

Ordered, girl taking my order sounded like she wanted to be literally anywhere else. Waited 15 minutes for cheesy tots, which came out like this. Soggy, cold, and hard. Im assuming that brown stuff is chili they put on then scraped off, not what I ordered.

I love Sonic & I’m not a picky person, but had to give this review. My hot dog was green on the outside & mushy. The chicken on the slider sandwich was extremely dry & hard. The server was great! I just think if we have to pay these expensive prices for food it should at least be fresh & not overcooked. I don’t mind waiting a couple extra minutes for better food.

Ordered thru Doordash
When delivered, order was not correct. Went up to Smithville Sonic to get it corrected and was told they would not correct the order and blamed it on DD driver. Then requested we going thru Doordash for refund. Used DD for other locations in town and if there was an issue could go to the source and have it fixed.. Poor customer service by Smithville Sonic

Online ordering is inconsistent at best. Order is often wrong. Today, I ordered a large tea with no ice and there was less than 4 oz of tea but filled to the top with ice. I don’t really care that the service is bad, but give me the food I paid for
