I never write reviews, I worked in service for over 15 years, so I’m usually very understanding, but I was excited to try this pizza, went back for a second slice, and discovered a screw baked inside it. I actually chipped my tooth biting into it. I immediately contacted DoorDash and left the restaurant a message. I am genuinely horrified that something this dangerous made it into my food—this is a serious safety issue.

The pizza is delicious!

I was iffy at first when I saw the price. $7 for a slice??
But the slices were huge, equivalent to 2-3 slices from other places.

The ingredients were high quality. Working in the mall it is good to have a great place with good prices to eat. They also have good salads too!

Great pizza for a mall spot! Crust was crunchy but chewy, sauce is on point and perfect amount of cheese to topping ratio. Slices are normal size, idk what that other guy was talking about. That lady probably put the screw in her own pizza for views. Don’t knock em till you try em!

I have to say we LOVE this pizza! It is truly the best NY Style pizza in Santa Fe. The only reason for the low overall rating is this – we ordered online to pick up a Vegetarian Pizza: XXX sauce, mozzarella, feta, spinach, mushroom, red peppers, artichoke, olives, red onion. We asked for no olives. However there was also no spinach or artichokes Again – we love the pizza and this will not prevent us from ordering another time, we will just be sure to check the box before leaving.

If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. My recent visit to Capeesh Pizza at the Santa Fe Place Mall was nothing short of extraordinary, and that’s entirely thanks to the incredible craftsmanship and hospitality of Gilbert Ortiz.

From the very moment I walked up to the counter, Gilbert treated me not just as a customer, but as a valued guest. He carries himself with a professionalism and warmth that instantly sets the tone for the experience. In a world where genuine customer service often feels rare, Gilbert goes above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome, respected, and excited about your meal.

And then… there was the pizza. Let me tell you: Gilbert created what I can confidently call the best pizza I have ever had in my life. Every detail was perfection. The crust had that ideal balance—crispy on the outside, yet soft and chewy in the center, with just the right hint of char for depth of flavor. The sauce was vibrant and fresh, layered with just the right amount of seasoning so that every bite had richness without being overpowering. The cheese was perfectly melted, stretchy and golden, and the toppings were thoughtfully arranged and cooked to absolute perfection.

What truly impressed me, though, was the care and passion Gilbert clearly puts into his work. This wasn’t just a pizza—it was a creation. You could tell that he takes pride in every pie he makes, making sure it’s not just food, but an experience worth remembering. He has the hands of a true artisan and the heart of someone who loves what they do. That combination is rare, and it showed in every single bite.

On top of the exceptional quality of the food, Gilbert also checked in to make sure everything was to my liking, and it was clear he genuinely cared about the customer experience. That personal touch is what transforms a good dining experience into a great one, and in this case, an unforgettable one.

Capeesh Pizza is very lucky to have someone like Gilbert representing their brand. He doesn’t just make pizza; he creates memories. His professionalism, skill, and genuine passion for his craft turned what could have been a simple mall food court stop into one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had.

If you’re anywhere near Santa Fe, do yourself a favor: stop at Capeesh Pizza, ask for Gilbert Ortiz, and prepare to have your expectations blown out of the water. This was not just a five-star experience—it was the kind of experience that sets the standard for what pizza and customer service should be everywhere.

Thank you, Gilbert, for reminding me how amazing food can be when it’s made with pride and heart. I’ll be back, and I’ll be telling everyone I know to make sure they try Capeesh Pizza at the Santa Fe Place Mall.

I love this pizza they haven’t been open regularly though due to short staff. Today I ordered sausage with green chile Very skimpy on the sausage. I also order a lavender hibiscus tea. The server gave lavender only because he states I never told him hibiscus as well. Pizza was burnt! Utter disappointment! Every other time I’d give them 5 stars!

The pizza was fine. Probably the higher end of Santa Fe. But they refused to provide tap water, offering only bottled water. After spending $50 on a pizza and four drinks, I wasn’t in a hurry to spend more on something the Dairy Queen around the corner gives out for free.

I dont know if it’s the dressing or the wooden fork, or how fresh it tastes, but the salad there is my new favorite that I crave often.
