The appearance of this restaurant is very elegant and the service and wait staff very well versed on the menu and professional. However I found the food to be terrible, the enchiladas were tasteless no spices and the beef looked like brown paste. The chicken was not very appetizing and didn’t live up to any expectations. I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants in the area and across the country, but honestly I can’t give this place a very good review.

We arrived Sunday at 2:00 and were told we could not order from the lunch menu so we ordered the dinner selections for $4 more each. The California burrito had gristly, large, uncut, and unseasoned pieces of meat, too large for the tortilla size where they also stuffed rice and beans instead of putting those on the side. The chimichanga I ordered came as 2 unfried appetizer-sized mini burritos instead of a large fried burrito. It’s a nice place, but the food left us unsatisfied.

I just had to share my absolutely AMAZING experience at El Jarocho Mexican Restaurant and Bar. Seriously, if you’re looking for authentic, mouth-watering Mexican food, look no further – you’ve found the jackpot!
From the moment I walked in, I was blown away. The recent makeover is gorgeous! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting, like you’ve stepped right into a family fiesta.
But let’s talk about the food. Forget everything you think you know about Mexican food, because El Jarocho is on a whole different level of deliciousness. Every dish bursts with authentic flavors, clearly made with fresh ingredients and a whole lot of love. I honestly think it’s the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had outside of Mexico itself!
And here’s the best part: the prices are unbelievably incredible! You can enjoy a truly fantastic, filling meal without breaking the bank. It’s rare to find such high quality at such affordable prices these days.
Finally, I have to mention the friendly atmosphere. The staff is so welcoming and attentive, making you feel right at home. They truly care about providing a great dining experience.
So, if you haven’t tried El Jarocho yet, you are seriously missing out! Do yourself a favor and head on over. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Great food, reasonable pricing. Lots of options on the menu, including childrens menu and dinner combos. T-Bone steak came out sizzling, was absolutely delicious. Chicken Tacos were great, real chicken cooked perfect. We were greeted and seated promptly. Look forward to ordering again.

Decent Mexican food for a decent price. This is the former Bucky’s place and it’s pretty much the same inside. Margaritas are good on Fridays for lunch and the salsa at the table when you arrive is awesome! Try the taco salad for a bit less food and you won’t be disappointed.

Place looks nice. Food? Terrible. I asked the bartender if he’d pay $18 for 3 of these tacos (sent out just like the pic) he hesitated and still said an unsure yes. Didnt let me speak, no sympathy, or even trying to make anything right. Point is, idk how this place has 4.5 stars… i’d say more of a 1.5 just because it looks like a decent place. Food is too dry, including rice, beans, sauce. Just overall not worth it!

Very impressive down to earth Mexican restaurant! Friendly greeting when walking in, was seated right away. Got warm chips and salsa within a minute of sitting down, a must for any Mexican restaurant. Salsa was tasty, a little watery and tomato heavy, but good spice and fresh cilantro flare to it. Standard margarita is very good! A little on the sweet side but great flavor and you can definitely tell there is a good amount of tequila in it. Oh and its happy hour 4-7? Only $3? I’ll definitely have a second one. Menu is very comprehensive. I had the burrito tejana. Excellent burrito with grilled steak, chicken, shrimp and bell peppers topped with a queso. Queso gave new life to my tortilla chips and was very good, albeit a little on the sweet side vs spicy. Overall excellent and I’ll definitely go back! Only complaint was that there were some fruit flies visible, hard to keep them away with all the sugary drinks and not unheard of for a more dive setting, but it’s still a factor. Go, you’ll enjoy!

We went here for a date. It was good food and service. We were able to have a conversation because it was not super loud. There were only a handful of people there. We would dine here again
