1st time with the new owner. The place was very clean. The atmosphere was comfortable. The Pizza (and I’m a pizza snob) was really delicious! We got the house special. Highly recommend it! We got eggplant with ricotta, very good. The crust was perfect!

It’s not quite the Nicola’s I remember. I may be dating myself, but went recently hoping for a slice of their BLT pizza (they were way ahead of their time with that one). They didn’t have any slices, so instead I had a plain and their grandma slice.
Pizza is a subjective preference, so take this with a grain of salt. For me, it was too thin for the kind that I like. Not bad, but not my preference.
We’re spoiled in the area where you have a pizzeria at every turn, so you can be a bit picky. Next time I’ll get one from each of the 3 or 4 pizza places in califon and do a real taste test.
