We had a nice experience at La Pizza & La Pasta, probably the most modest restaurant within Eataly.
The day we visited, there happened to be a 3-course dinner menu available, so we opted for that. I choose mortadella with pesto, gnocchi arrabiata, and panna cotta. My girlfriend got the kale salad, beet ravioli, and gelato.
The food was quite nice. Not transcendent, but solid, well made, and well seasoned. The atmosphere is lovely. It’s situated within Eataly, and we ate on the patio, overlooking the Avenue of the Stars.
The main misstep here was the service. As I said, it was a 3-course special menu, with limited options. Despite there being just two of us, every course except for the entrees came out at least 5 minutes offset from the other person. Even the two cortados we ordered with dessert were brought by different runners, minutes apart. That sort of pacing really damages the experience, and I would expect a restaurant like this to get that right.
Overall it’s not my favorite restaurant at Eataly, but it’s still definitely a nice place for a satisfying meal.

starting with apps- the Kale salad was 5/5 delish , great portion size, very well seasoned and with depth of flavor but the bruschetta portion size was tiny (literally two small pieces of bread) and very underwhelming. Fried polenta cakes were well cooked but also slightly bland and small. The mains were both okay- gnocchi was soft but under seasoned, lacking in flavor, while the ravioli was swimming in a rather bland butter sauce. Loved the fried sage leaves but was expecting more.
For dessert (not included in the restaurant fest menu), we had the tiramisu dessert which was INCREDIBLE. Definitely recommend!!

Love the food here! I love sitting at the bar and having a cacio e pepe by myself! It’s the most delicious version I’ve tried in West LA! Love the vibe and friendly staff. Daniel was waiting on me tonight and he was just so kind and brilliant. He brought me a dessert that wasn’t on the menu! Had a great Thanksgiving night. Will keep coming back!

It took me a full week to process my meal here.
Truly, the most underwhelming and disappointing dinners I’ve ever had.
But let’s start off on a positive note. I had such a great reunion with my friends. Our party of 5 were all so looking forward to seeing each other as life had been lifing and it had been a minute since we all saw each other. We all even ended up all wearing the same color clothes without even planning it. Talk about kismet. We were in great spirits and ended up being about 10 minutes early for our resy.
Our server was amazing. We already knew what we were getting as they had a pasta special. I believe the menu had 5 items which worked out in our favor. We got one of each. By the time Kylie came back with our water, someone took the wheel and placed our whole order. I don’t even think I looked at the menu since I knew my friend had done her research. Kylie took such great care of us. She was so attentive and checked in just the right amount of times. There was always someone walking around to clear plates from tables. The service was amazing. Well done team.
Now here’s where things went south. We got a few extra items. For apps we got the cheese and some dried fruit and a bread situation topped with i think squash. We algo got a salad. I nearly forgot about the meatballs. Those were the first things to come out followed by the pastas. The best thing from that trio was the salad. And it stayed like that until the end. All of the pastas were disappointing. Tasted bland. Lacking in all the flavors. There really should have been salt and pepper on that table. I nearly wanted to ask. Everything tasted the same. What I mean by that is that they all had no flavor. I tasted no spices. I swear every bite made me a little sad. I ended up having a bit more of the salad instead of trying to finish the pastas.
I (and my friends) originally thought maybe the kitchen was having an off night because how can they possibly mess up ALL the pastas when the market below them has amazing products. I’m assuming they’re using ingredients from downstairs. Then I look up other reviews and see so many others had the same experience. Color me baffled that no changes have been made. Thank god our drinks were so strong.
After having just spent nearly two weeks in Italy drowning in carbonara and ravioli this was not the welcome home meal I expected. We were so disappointed we didn’t take the leftovers home nor did we get dessert. We ended up getting gelato.

The calamari was the tastiest. Not loving the bruschetta with squash. It needed something acidic with it. There’s a reason why it’s usually made with tomatoes! Missing protein for the spaghetti. Calzone (not pictured) needed more sauce. Overall, food was so so.

Tried the Neapolitan pizza at Eataly and… the sauce was the only standout. Bright, balanced, and full of flavor — but everything else fell flat. The crust was fine, the toppings forgettable, and for a brand like Eataly, I expected way more. Basic at best, disappointing at worst.

La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly Century City was a huge disappointment. The wait was long even with a reservation, and when the food finally arrived it was bland and overpriced. The pizza was soggy in the middle, the pasta was u, and the flavors were nothing close to authentic Italian. Service felt rushed and inattentive, and for the prices they charge, the quality simply isn’t there. Definitely not worth the hype or the cost.

The food here is seriously good—fresh cheese is the key that really elevates every dish. It stands out on the bruschetta and in the pasta.
That said, the service was slower than expected—it took over 15 minutes just to get our drinks, which was a bit frustrating.

Love Eataly as a store and we will be going back and try the other restaurant choices but I was disappointed in this one. My pizza was a floppy, sloppy messy which I could have lived with had the pizza been good. It wasn’t. Wasn’t terrible but authentic, delicious pizza? No. However, my wife enjoyed her alfredo pasta dish prepared at the table so I bumped up my food rating one star. Service was very good. Quick, informative and courteous. Environment is nice though nothing special. At least for pizza I’d find the counter that serves Sicilian slices instead of here.

Great cheese, good pizza, and fresh pasta. LP&LP takes full advantage of being in eataly and having access to quality ingredients.
The stand out is definitely the cheese used in the charcuterie plate, the pizza, and the pasta. The Buratta led to my party all buying extra to bring home at the grocery side.
Pasta is definitely made fresh, and pizza has a nice charred flavor.
As others mentioned though, price is a bit on the high side given the ambience being in the middle of a grocery store.
