Most everything you get is amazing. The meatloaf, catfish, chicken sandwich and fried chicken is all fantastic. DO NOT ORDER THE HAMBURGER, it is just a frozen patty that isn’t good. Just about anything else you get wil make you extremely happy.

My sister has been telling me about this place for so long and I finally got to go with her. It was so good! Home style food made so well. Our waitress was so sweet and checked on us often. I highly recommend for the fried catfish and yams. We got the lunch combo plate and shared it. You get 2 entries and 2 sides.

This place has been family owned and operated for decades with Great Southern home cooking. The breaded catfish is excellent with large portions. The friendly service is outstanding in every way. If I ever visit Tulsa again, I’ll be coming here for lunch!

I had more than enough! The fried catfish dinner, my oh my!! The peach cobbler, juices flowing, I had a peach in every bit! The crust was just right! I’ve been looking for some fish fried in yellow corn meal! Even my picky pup had a bite of sweet potatoes/yams. If I didn’t know better, I would say she smiled and wanted more. Will be going back

You gotta come here. And you gotta get some fried chicken of some variety. Sides all of em. Rolls and cornbread yes.

Breakfast is a great choice.

Everything is always so good. So welcoming. Great service always. I’m here every time I come to Tulsa. Thank you Wanda J and family for keeping us happy!

Super good. I had the catfish plate and country fried steak plate. I like how even on the potato they don’t cheap out on the gravy. The catfish is beautifully fried to perfection. Portions are generous and prices are more than fair. Everyone inside is hard working and friendly. I really like the vibe inside. Every time I come to T town I have to stop by.

A friend recommended Wanda J’s for some fried chicken. It’s not in the most convenient location, but the chicken makes up for the drive. The chicken pieces are very large! The food is exactly as advertised, a good down home southern meal.

I went to lunch here with a friend. It was very good. Reminded me of eating at restaurants in the deep south. I recommend giving them a try. I had the fried catfish and mashed potatoes, green beans and roll. My friend had a grilled chicken sandwich and coleslaw. He told me his was very good. The waitress was on the ball.

This place is just how you would expect to pull up a chair to your grandma’s table for home cooking in the South. All the fix’ns, homemade taste and quality, and unfortunately the wait. BUT…it is worth the wait! Make plans and leave enough time, you will need it. The food is cooked just right…not too greasy, warm and plenty. You’re guaranteed to be back!

Note: if you visit late enough in the afternoon, the wait is much shorter.
