Quality spot. Fast service. Quality ingredients. My friend from Hong Kong was with me and loved their tea too.

Really cool being with the bookstore and easy access to a power walk in the coconut grove area

Beck recommended the rising Phoenix and it was refreshing. Great macros too

A must-go in the Grove. I’ve been meaning to try Banh inside Books & Books and finally made it in. Blown away.

I had the short rib banh mi and it’s basically a Vietnamese French dip, kind of thing. Slow-braised beef, bright herbs, pickled crunch, all packed into crisp bread, then you dip it into a side of pho bone broth. It’s messy in the best way. Deep, savory, layered, but still fresh. It hits rich and light at the same time.

That’s what makes the concept cool. It respects the classic banh mi but isn’t afraid to remix it. Small menu, focused execution, no fluff. You can feel the intention.

Paired it with a clean espresso and just sat there thinking, this is special.

Unique. Confident. Worth the trip.

This is a review for their banh mi. I love the idea of having a banh mi and boba shop where you can order and then browse books while waiting. I was happily surprised at the authenticity of the “OG viet deli” option. It came with ingredients like cha lua and head cheese. I also love pate and this sandwich was absolutely packed with it. It was finally topped with tiny red chillis instead of the jalapenos I usually see in the US which I prefer since the pack a spicy punch. Though the sandwich was definitely not as spicy as I’m used to. The bread is also way thicker than I’m used to but it was fresh. I could not eat it until a while later and yet because it was all cold cuts, the sandwich was still quite good. Overall very well put together and service was friendly. My one qualm is that it is way more expensive for banh mi than I’m used to so this would be more of a place to go if I wanted to treat myself.

When I first looked at the menu, I knew it would be good. There was only four sandwiches available which means that’s what they do and they do it really well. I had the Don’t cluck with me it was super yummy. By the end of next week, I’ll have tried the other three I can’t wait.

Stellar! They know what they are doing here. We visited twice and tried the OG, lemongrass chicken, and the short rib. Everything was great. What makes this place is the owner Aiden. We came in right at closing and he was incredibly kind. He reopened and insisted we order. It’s so refreshing to come across people like him. Wishing you success with your new business.

Came to Banh after seeing a lot of positive reviews of both on Google and IG. Can confirm that it’s definitely worth going down to the Grove to try. Got the Pho sandwich and it was delicious! Great bread, super fresh + crisp veg, perfectly cooked meat, and loved having the pho broth on the side for both dunking and drinking after finishing to the sandwich. Lovely and warm service from the staff as well!

I never had a banh mi Sandwhich before and I was able to try it for the first time at BANH inside Books and Books in coconut grove.
The sandwich was unbelievable good. Super flavorful and felt not too heavy after eating. I was able to try their cafe rush iced coffee and it was the best coffee I ever had.
It’s a must try in coconut grove.
