I was in the area for work and decided to stop in for breakfast. There was no wait—I was seated right away and had my drink in front of me within minutes. I ordered the Hobo Omelet with home fries (topped with onions and peppers) and white toast.

Service was fast and friendly, which made for a great start to the day. The omelet was delicious, with a nice, even mix of ingredients throughout. The home fries were a generous portion and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crispy edges and flavorful peppers and onions. The toast was nicely browned, buttery, and served with both strawberry and grape jelly—though strawberry is always the clear winner in my book.

Overall, it was a great breakfast spot, and I definitely plan on coming back to try more of the menu!

Fun place in Cypress. I come here for breakfast when I am visiting Cypress. Always seem to order the scrambled eggs with spinach! Service is always friendly and superb.

The first time here, the service was great, better than any other place I’ve ever been. They were so attentive and always made sure we were doing ok. The food was amazing, tasted so good, fresh, and so much better than going to an IHOP/Dennys/Norms. I don’t live around the area, but we will be driving back down in the near future because it was worth it.

What can I possibly say about Howard’s Coffee Shop…A MUST stop by kind of a place. Our server Cassandra greeted us with a warm welcome.

As soon as we sat down she asked us for our beverage choice. I opted for regular black coffee.

A few minutes later, Cassandra stopped by and asked may I take your order? Followed by “Do you want a little warm up on your coffee?” I love the unique way that she asked us if we wanted a refill on our coffee.

I chose the Country Breakfast with 2 scrambled eggs with onions, 2 bacon, 2 hot links, crispy hash browns and 2 fluffy and delicious pancakes.

The meal was exactly how I requested it… hot and steaming. Will definitely be back for more.

PS: Howard’s has some of the best and spiciest green salsa. Just thinking about it makes my mouth watery.

You raised the prices and its alot. Country breakfast $20.99. You got to be kidding me. We love your food but at those prices we wont be coming back.

Saw the bad and good reviews, decided to give it a shot to come out with my personal conclusion. It’s a good decent place. The vintage atmosphere is somewhat interesting, I came for a breakfast and i can say it was pretty good, coffee sure needs be improved, overall it was a clean restaurant, staff was kind, and my food was freshly made.

Great little neighborhood greasy spoon. It’s not much to look at from the outside, but inside is pure vintage goodness straight out of the 70s! I’ve been wanting to try this place ever since I moved into the area. The kids and I finally made it and we’ll be back for sure. Great food, reasonable prices and super friendly service. My coffee cup was never empty! Totally reminds me of going out to eat with my parents as a kid! If you’re a nostalgia junkie like me, put this place on your list!

Friendly older white lady who was kind & gave me good customer service. Honestly, their enchiladas weren’t that great. It had a funny flavorless taste so was the rice, it was not real Mexican food. Wasn’t worth $25. Their soup was good thou but I wouldn’t return there again. This restaurant needs a lil attention due to the fact it’s an old building from the inside. A remodel would be nice. Somehow this place seems to be empty all the time. However, I’ll stick to Rosewood restaurant & IHOP down street is nicer too btw.
