The sushi was on another level. Every roll was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The fish quality was outstanding — clean, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Even the specialty rolls were perfectly balanced and not overloaded like you see at some places.
The all-you-can-eat option is an absolute game changer. Being able to try a wide variety of rolls, appetizers, and different cuts of fish without sacrificing quality is rare. Everything came out fresh to order, and they never made us feel rushed.
And the value? Honestly unbeatable. For the quality you’re getting — especially with the all-you-can-eat option — the pricing is more than fair. It’s rare to find a spot that delivers high-end sushi, excellent service, and incredible value all in one place.
Hands down one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had. I’ll definitely be back — highly recommend!
The atmosphere is very pleasant. It’s very modern and clean while still maintaining a welcoming vibe.
As for the food, it was exceptional. Everything tasted so fresh and the portions were beyond generous. This is definitely in my favorite sushi restaurant so far. Dare I say my favorite restaurant in general. I think I’m already planning when I should go back haha.
My waitress, I believe her name is Lucy, was very attentive to the needs or wants of the customer. She continuously checked up to see if I wanted anything and answered any questions I had. She was also patient and non-judgmental while I decided what to order next. It definitely made the experience a lot better.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend this place to everyone!
As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by the owner and the team.
We did the all you can eat and tried as much food as we could.
It was so pleasant that the owner (I think his name was Michael) came and introduced himself and asked us how the food was.
The ramen was okay, the noodles were a tad but hard and the meat tasted a bit burnt. Not sure if that’s what it’s supposed to taste like. Just wasn’t for me.
The seaweed salad was delicious.
Not pictured here, but I also ordered meisso soup. It was delicious.
Crunchy roll was okay. It’s one of my favorite roll, just wasn’t my favorite roll from this restaurant.
Calamari was also okay. Wasn’t a big fan of how chewy it was on the inside. Wasn’t a fan of it.
The waitress checked in on us every so often to see if we wanted to order more. I appreciated that.
Would definitely go again to get the all you can eat.
SERVICE:
We went on the sixth day after open. To be perfectly honest, the service was OUTSTANDING. The host was inviting and friendly and the server was joyful and had fantastic people skills. Service was much faster than most restaurants of this ilk and they did everything to code for a gladly gratuitous tip.
FOOD QUALITY:
If you order all-you-can-eat, you can pick absolutely ANYTHING off of the menu. That is rare. I’d say the overall taste was solid. The raw fish tasted fresh. The cuts were extremely generous, as well as most portion sizes. Food arrangement was artful and professional, though sloppy in some ways. As you can see from my photo, the super dragon roll (top) has a hand pressed mass of spicy blended salmon on top. You can see the knuckle indentations. That was wasteful, off-putting and really imbalanced the taste and texture. That being said, the kimchi was AMAZING. Freshly made in-house, the server wasn’t kidding when she praised its flavor. I had great kimchi once in North Minneapolis, and this was a close match. The wantons were average Chinese style and common. Sugar-laden cream cheese. We ordered shrimp fried rice, it was surprisingly good. Hibachi style, smokey and flavorful. Lastly, the ramen was..really nice. The broth was comforting, very home style, with just the right amount of salt, fat, and umami. Not overpowering or sweet. The thin-sliced sweet pork was a solid pairing to perfectly cooked thin wheat noodles.
ATMOSPHERE:
Without a doubt, you can tell this was MC’s Garage. But that’s okay. They used the furniture and appointments well to save money while maintaining a decent Asian theme. Bathrooms haven’t changed and everything is extremely clean.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t fit everything into my belly, so I’ll be back. There are many ramens left to try.
