If you’re looking for a true grown-and-sexy vibe, this lounge is it! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is smooth, upscale, and welcoming. The lighting is perfect, the music sets the mood without being overpowering, and the crowd is mature and classy.

The food? Absolutely on point. Every dish was flavorful, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. You can tell they take pride in both the kitchen and the overall experience. The drinks were strong, crafted perfectly, and complemented the menu well.

The staff was attentive, professional, and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. It’s the perfect spot for date night, celebrating with friends, or just enjoying good vibes in a relaxed, sophisticated setting. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

This was our first time visiting. Shina was a delight. The drinks were good. The ladies in our group like the strut. Everyone else seemed to enjoy it. The Dj played decent music to us. I liked the goat pepper soup and the rice. My bald head was sweating. I like that its a small lounge. I’m not a fan of the larger ones.I was impressed with the layout. We will definitely come back.

I came here last night for the first time **randomly** to celebrate my coworker’s birthday. There were only **four people total** in the lounge. We ordered drinks, were spending money, and even had a friendly conversation with a gentleman in the lounge—my coworker even tried goat pepper soup for the first time and loved it.

Since it was my friend’s birthday, I politely asked if a more upbeat song could be played. I was told it was “R&B night,” even though there was **no DJ**, barely any guests, and music was being played off an iPad/phone. I found it unreasonable to refuse such a simple request from paying customers—especially on a birthday.

Things escalated when I went to order another round and was suddenly told we would not be served because we were “too intoxicated,” which was **completely false**. We were not loud, disruptive, or impaired in any way. This felt less like responsible service and more like retaliation due to attitude.

I’ve been bartending for over **10 years**, and I would *never* treat guests this way—especially ones who are respectful and spending money. Proper customer service and accurate intoxication assessment are essential, and staff should be **TIPS/TAM certified** so accusations like this aren’t made casually or dishonestly.

One staff member even mentioned coming from Atlanta to work here, which honestly didn’t add credibility—customer service should speak for itself.

Overall, this was disappointing and unprofessional. With better training and accountability, this place could do much better. Unfortunately, this was my **first and last visit**.

Honestly I been a bar manger before and that is totally unacceptable

The food was awful. The worse chicken I ever had. The chicken was rubbery & tough supposedly been jerk but it wasn’t. The lemon drop was nasty as hell. I should’ve known better when I saw everyone else had either a shot or a beer. The young waitress was really nice and attentive although she knew I didn’t like the food or drink and didn’t offer a discount or another suggestion…I will NOT return

CK & lounge is truly a gem! Classy atmosphere, spotless and unique environment, and exceptional customer service. The crowd is always decent and mature, the music quality is top-notch, and the prices are surprisingly moderate for such an upscale spot. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a refined yet welcoming place to relax. This lounge definitely earned my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had a good time at CK & Lounge on a Friday night. Good music, good vibes, great cocktail presentation. I highly recommend if you want to have a taste of authentic Nigerian cuisine in a sophisticated space.
First time here and I shall definitely revisit.

It’s an African lounge, so it’s advisable to temper your expectations. With that being said, I’ll give it a strong 7/10, as they have a live DJ, live Saxophonist, a fun vibe, decent decor, decent food, and good drinks.
The place is small, so either get there early, or call ahead to make a reservation.
The servers don’t necessarily come to you, you’ll need to go to them aka flag them down.
My 1 con was that it was hot. This establishment should please adjust the AC to improve the comfort of their guests.

CK Lounge is the place to be in Bowie!! I came into CK Lounge for happy hour today. The bartender, Ghost, served me a phenomenal smoked Old Fashioned that set the tone perfectly. He walked me through the menu which has a wide variety of Afro fusion options. He suggested the suya and jollof rice and it was a hit!! I will definitely be returning.

A double shot of Ketel One with orange juice is $48.00. I thought was trying to steal from me, turns out it was the establishment itself. They actually served it in this plastic disposable cup too. Thankfully my card wasn’t charged after talking to management. After expressing my shock at the prices the night only cost me time as I drank on the house. Wow!
