Maybe I caught this place on an off day. But it was as mediocre and forgettable as you can get.
The server never introduced herself by name, she didn’t check on me once after I got my food so I was never offered a drink refill.
Ordered the biscuits and gravy combo. I have a hunch they aren’t made in house, the biscuits have an overly flour taste that you get from factory biscuits. Gravy lacked any seasoning.
Bacon was plentiful though very chewy even though I asked for extra crispy. Hash browns also lacked seasoning, and the scrambled eggs were insanely flat, bordering on overcooked.
For the combined price of $17 even though they were sizable portions, I can’t recommend this place. Would’ve been happier with a fast food breakfast by far.
The service was quick, but they were also in a slow period.
Will not return.

Nice little breakfast place. Alot of choices on the menu. Had a hard time choosing. We ordered pancake combo and French toast combo! All was very good! Did not wait long for our food. My favorite was t b e Hashbrowns. Cooked perfectly!

Love this little strip mall restaurant and it’s out go-to for breakfast these days. Their American and Mexican breakfasts are great and reasonably priced. The waitstaff are always friendly and even know me and my pal by name. The pork green chili is excellent and I can’t get enough of it.

This used to be a decent place to eat. But I’m moving on. Today I ordered the gyro sandwich and fries. The fries are good. The meat on the sandwich reminds me of chewing on leather (I can’t eat it) and it doesn’t even have tzatziki sauce on it. We ordered to go so I can’t send it back, which I certainly would have. They may just have too many things on the menu and can’t handle the variety they are trying to serve. It’s unfortunate because I’d rather support local restaurants. But I won’t be back.

Basically pulled this one out of a hat, and am glad I did. The food was great and healthy portions. The service is great. The young man serving coffee was on the spot during the meal. The atmosphere was like having breakfast at home, yes that relaxed and welcoming. Over all a great breakfast.

No doubt – one of the best breakfast places near Colorado Springs!
This unassuming eatery is tucked into the side of a strip mall. It isn’t flashy – just a simple little place.
A simple little place with the best service and even better food.
Let’s start with the service – the waitstaff here are old-school nice. The kind of people who make you feel at home the moment you walk in. Warm smiles, friendly service. Love this.
The food is off the charts good. I had the tamale breakfast – the tamales are made fresh in house and were – no joke – the best tamales I’ve had in Colorado. So good.
Don’t miss MyHouse Cafe. This place should get seven stars. Maybe eight.

It was good, nothing to write home about. The portions are good sized, waitress was decent, wasnt too in our business but not too attentive either. I believe she was young and new. I would say similar to another cafe close by. Prices were good for the portions.

Updating this review to 5 stars. Me and some friends dropped in for breakfast today. Everyone complemented the food and value. I’ve added a pic of Mike’s Skillet to note the portion and the delicious green chili sauce smothering this more than a meal awesomeness. I think they found their step again.
Prior review:
We’ve been here a few times, and they lost a step.
My skillet dishes were fantastic. Hearty and smothered in hatch chili sauce. Unfortunately, they got skimpy with the Rueben. The picture is after it was sent back for more meat. Light on the fries as well. Probably won’t be ordering that again as the price is for something that should be more substantial.
We were there for the end of the Sunday lunch crowd so maybe they just ran low.
I still highly recommend this place as the service is very friendly and the other 7 or 8 dishes we had were 6 or 7 out of 5 stars.

I’ve been here 3 times now, and each time the food is just fantastic. The servings are very generous and makes two meals for me! For example, the waffles and eggs special for $10 included a huge waffle, 2 eggs, bacon, a huge pile of hashbrowns, and a toast! Wow! I’ve also had the chicken fried chicken and liver/onions. Both were awesome. The wait staff was wonderful too. I’ll be back for sure!

Super cute little cafe! The outside/location don’t look like much but the inside is really cute. Just a simple little cafe. I had the breakfast burrito which comes with hashbrowns and smothered green chili The burrito/green chili combo was delish. Daughter went with a waffle and hashbrowns and my son ordered the pancake, eggs and bacon kids meal. He doesn’t like eggs so they graciously substituted the egg with extra bacon at no charge. For 3 of us it was $43 which I think is expected. Owners/staff are very nice. Give this place a try! We will be back!
