Literally the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had! I had read about this coffee shop in the 417 Magazine and decided to make a special trip (an hour’s drive) just to try it out. My Carlo Breve was so good, I had to bring my husband back the very next day! Carlo the owner had time to tell us all about his coffee and other offerings – loved the baked items from the French chef he partnered with! Saturday was much busier than Friday but the quality remained the same. I see many side trips to Rogersville just to get more of this amazing place!

First time getting a coffee here. The staff was so helpful. The drink was very good. The almond croissant was probably the best I’ve ever had. Get it!! The wafers were so good too. Super cute boutique and coffee shop wish it was closer. Absolutely will come back.

I’ve been here a couple times already and both were absolutely worthwhile. The coffee shop is located inside a gift shop, but there are plenty of places to sit and relax. I especially like the couch and comfy chair options.
I specifically sought this place out for their espresso. I’ve been to Rome and have missed the coffee from there, and this place fills that void. The espresso is perfectly smooth and high quality. There’s a good sweetness to the drinks they make too, but not overpowering.
The tiramisu is a delightful treat, as are all the other sweets they make. Each are made fresh with care.
The staff is so helpful and kind as well! Highly recommend visiting.

I visited Empire Coffee yesterday & it was like I took a trip to Italy & I only had to drive to Rogersville! I’d go as far to say that it’s the best coffeehouse in the 417 & worth the drive!!!
* Friendly, knowledgeable staff! I love coffee & consider myself a coffee expert so I had a lot of questions & he was so nice to chat with me & answer my questions. Best customer service I’ve ever had & that says a lot. I could tell that he loves the customer & goes the extra mile for them & his products. He’s even carries Danessi Italian coffee & he’s the only one in the area to do that & the only other closest place to find that is in Kansas City.
* The coffee is incredible! The chocolate dusting on top was SO good…can’t even describe it. I can’t remember the name of my drink but it’s named after the owner & it’s a double shot of espresso with milk & sugar cane syrup. It’s perfectly balanced & hot. I loved how it has that frothy puff on the top…pure bliss! The owner told me that he doesn’t charge extra for alternative milk & whatever the price says on the menu includes everything with no additional charges for syrup! No additional charge for the homemade whipped cream too and I heard it’s super good.
* Pastries made by a French chef! My son & I loved them. We got the fruit tart & the cream puff. Out of this world good, seriously! I can’t wait to have that fruit tart again. This is the famous French chef that used to have a restaurant in Rogersville.
* Wonderful quiche & breakfast croissant! I had cut them in half to share with my son & then realized I hadn’t taken a picture so the pic below is after I cut them in half & took a bite. Even the plates & silverware are beautiful! They wash their dishes so that you have beautiful dishes to eat & drink out of.
* Beautiful atmosphere and there’s a boutique in with it to shop at. The owner told me that the long wooden table is made from a historic wooden bridge, so beautiful & unique. All the strung lights were beautiful. Comfortable place to hang out with friends & family or study groups. I saw there’s a comfy couch to sit at too.
I just can’t say enough great things about this place. It’s a must-try! I even bought some Italian Danesi Caffe packaged espresso & 183 sugar cane syrup to make my own at home. Empire only uses the best ingredients! Super impressive. Looking forward to my next visit to try different items.

Mind blown … and incredibly pleased … by how nice this place is. The food is very good!The coffee is even better!! And the atmosphere is icing on the proverbial cake!
Took my Mom here today for lunch!! Had THE most awesome time!! Mom’s been a little down after a fall and recovery time (all healed) and this truly lifted her spirits big time!!
Not only very cool inside, relaxing, etc., but the staff were literally amazing! They were simply genuinely kind, nice, and provided excellent service!!

Hidden gem! Carlo and his staff were fantastic! The pastries fresh and the coffee smooth and delicious! Highly recommend the Carlo Breve but anything you need Carlo’s obvious coffee knowledge will steer you in the right direction! Well worth the drive from Springfield!

Everything is great! The best coffee drinks in the area, including drinks you can’t get other places. All the food is freshly made and the prices are fair. EVERY employee is friendly, helpful and seems to enjoy their job. The decor is nice and comfortable. This is my favorite place to get coffee.

What a lovely little place! The coffee is DELICIOUS!! And the barista was the sweetest! He told us all about the coffee and the flavors and the different drinks. Just a very sweet young man. This was a wonderful little treat while we killed time while our husbands shopped at the train hobby shop. Definitely a place you should check out!

The best coffee shop I’ve ever been to – everything is FANTASTIC. My boyfriend and I regularly come up here from Springfield, an hour round trip for us, and it’s more than worth it. Staff is friendly and warm, prices are low, they don’t accept tips, the pastries are superb, and the coffee is even better. We can’t tell enough people about this place! Run, don’t walk, to Empire Coffee!

What a wonderful place! My husband and I decided to stop here for a morning coffee date. The coffee was incredible & they had a variety of unique and delicious desserts/food. It was hard to decide which to try with everything looking so amazing but I feel like you really can’t go wrong with any of the options. The service was so friendly and you can tell this is a place run by great people that are passionate about their craft.
Also I absolutely loved the setting of the coffee shop being in a quaint gift store. We learned they will eventually be serving sandwiches too, and we can’t wait to come back to try that as well. I think we definitely found a new favorite spot and we’re so glad we decided to stop in on a whim.
